I'll weigh in a little bit as a Ranger fan who is playing a Brewers franchise. I don't see how Profar fits for the Brewers, thus I don't think it's a good deal for the Brewers. Gennett is more than serviceable at 2nd and Arcia, their #1 prospect, is a SS. The Brewers don't need Profar as much as they need pitching, a permanent 1B and a permanent 3B. While it could be an overpay for the Rangers to get Lucroy, I think the Brewers demand either Mazara, Gallo or Brinson. All three are prospects that Texas isn't looking to give up.

Thanks for the insight. Yeah, no way I trade either of those three.

Anything else you think would work?

I am doing a Rockies franchise and I was looking to trade Charlie Blackmon to the Astros for Jake Marisnick.
I was wondering what else I'd need to give the Astros to get this trade done.

I think you mean what else the Astros would need to give the Rockies. Blackmore. Is much more valuable than Marisnick

Looking at our prospects and IRL trade deadline. Padres might be a HAUL for him though as they are trying to rebuild the farm.


I see Christian Walker and Trey Mancini as top options. They don't have anyone in the farm at 1st base.

Chance Sisco
David Hess/Gray Fenter

Pick 2 players out of the combos with Sisco and I think you can get Cashner

No, you can't. It's not realistic to shove his current situation aside, but even if you do, no, you can't. He's a negative value asset.

Dude, I get what you are saying, but this is a game. The game doesnt know he has legal and personal issues, thats why I said BS aside for this instance.

In the end, the game will value him, not his issues. Thats what myself, and others are looking for.

I looked at what the A's gave the Brewers to build my deal. Is this in the ballpark for Davis' value?

In the end, the game will value him, not his issues. Thats what myself, and others are looking for.

I feel like you have been around long enough to know how this thread works. Others are looking for realistic trade options. That what this thread is for and has always been for (at least since I joined). Suggestions looking for a realistic trade unless specified as a fair value trade or big name superstar, where it is implied as a fair value trade.

Brewers wouldn't be giving up Lucroy if they wanted MLB talent. AC made a proposal of Martes + Singleton that makes sense because it spares the 1B spects that you want to keep and fills a long term need for the Brewers at 1B.

Makes sense. Getting rid of Martes would really hurt since I'm quite fond of him, but with Musgrove, Paulino, and Feliz on his way up, I guess I can afford to move him. Having Lucroy would be awesome.

Any chance I can get away with keeping Martes and trading my surplus of hitting prospects? Derek Fisher, Colin Moran, Kyle Tucker, Daz Cameron, Tony Kemp, Andrew Aplin? That would be most ideal, but I understand these guys don't quite bring to the table what Martes does.

I would wait for additional insight on this before just doing it but I would look into something like:

Tex Receives
Lucroy
+Low potential prospect

Mil Receivers
Moreland
Chi Chi
Morgan
Jackson

Moreland could fill their 1B need by creating a platoon with Carter. Chi Chi is a young starter with decent potential to evolve into an above average rotation guy. Morgan prospects pretty well and is capable of playing 2B, SS, 3B and C. That said, I'm not next to my game right now, so I'm not sure how well the OSFM guys treated Morgan. Finally, Luke Jackson to give Mil additional bullpen depth when he makes it to MLB level, which shouldn't be too much longer.

Again, I would get thoughts on this first. I might be severely under-rating Milwaukee's return. Or maybe even what Texas is giving, though I doubt that.

Milwaukee isn't trying to contend if they're shipping Lucroy out of town. It would make sense for them to want a package of prospects over guys like Moreland.
