    Nice trade.

Machado is the best defensive 3rd baseman and could be one of if not the best defensive SS in the league if you decide to play him there. Offensively he's top 2 or 3 in the league at his position. Machado and Bautista might be more expensive to resign depending on if the game will have him command a $350mil+ deal like I think he will irl, but you would also have 2 top 5 players in their respective positions.

Take a look at my post in the last page about getting Pederson to the Astros if you can, it'd be much appreciated

That sounds like a good idea I should have tried that. I had the 15th pick overall in the fantasy draft really wanted Harper but he was already drafted(2nd or 3rd) so I just traded my top 2 draft picks (Machado, Bautista)

I don't know how the fantasy draft worked with the farm system. I just drafted 20-30 players then simmed the rest. Will take a look at your post and try to help you.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Correct. And this is probably why I'm not a GM of a baseball team right now (along with other qualifications). Haha If Puig went elsewhere for a huge package, then I'd consider it. At least that would open up a spot for Bregman in the future.

Altuve is the best 2B in the league, in my opinion. I value his leadership and clubhouse presence for our organization. But for the right package, I'd consider it. But we're also talking about a video game. In real life, I doubt the Astros would make that move, just as much as I'd doubt the Dodgers would offer that package.

Let's also not forget Urias is a prospect. He's no guarantee. He may be as close to one as there is, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves. How many "phenoms" get called up and bust out through the years?

With both sides of this trade being argued, I will take that to mean it's generally fair. Maybe send a mid-low prospect with Altuve.

Yeah to be fair, I'm completely biased so my opinion my not be valid. But I still don't see the Astros trading Altuve... Haha

It's your franchise. Do what you want with it! I'm just some Astro-obsessed college student who enjoys long walks on the beach.

You sound like a real catch haha.

These are the reasons I can't do an Indians franchise. I'm just too close to the real action. Although, I think I would severely undervalue every bat they have. I can't stand how boring their offense has been for about 8 years now.

I feel ya, man. It was tough following the Astros post 2010. Thankfully it didn't last as long as the 8 years you endured! Lol

Hello guys. I'm in an online league here at OS. I'm looking trade Adam Jones for a prospect package...

                He's 30Yr/87Over/B Po/14.1M for 3 Yrs

What would be a fair deal for a playoff contending team right before the trade deadline?

How are 3 B Prospects from the Cubs:
                CF Almora
                SP Tseng
                SS Torres

Cubs are not a good fit for Adam "don't call me Pacman" Jones because they have a full OF. Look for teams that need a CF or RF or have been beset by injuries in the OF.

If Schwarber is injured I wouldn't say it's "full," Soler is meh. But I don't think Jones is a massive upgrade on Soler.

Did he say Schwarber was injured in his franchise? I might have missed a post.

Hey man, I have an Astros chise I'm doing and I figured you being a fan could help me out. I'm trying to get Joc Pederson in to replace Gomez after his contract expires so I can get another power bat in the outfield and more importantly make sure I have enough money to resign Altuve's contract the next off season. Pederson has like 3 more years of team control, has a B potential and he's already at a high 70's low 80's overall (I can't remember the number off the top). He had a pretty crappy year only hitting like 10 HR's and 40 RBI's bc the Dodgers weren't fancying him so I figure it's a good time to get him while his stock is low

In the beginning of my second season and one of the teams I control is my tigers. Just looking at what packages would look like if I wanted to fully rebuild. What are the base values of Castellanos, Miggy, Kinsler, JV
Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit Tigers
Pittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay Packers

As a Dodgers fan, I'd say if he's not hitting and Kike is playing well in his stead, I could see the team moving on. He plays good defense, but Kike is almost as good in the field and has way better contact ratings.

The thing with Joc is that it's hard to reproduce his power potential.

If the CPU Dodgers are burying him at the bottom of the order and are platooning him vs. LHP, then I'd say it's reasonable to pursue another option in the OF. Tracy Thompson will be coming up, and there are a couple of younger OF with some upside.

Maybe if you can land MIF help or a platoon player at C or LF to offset Grandal's weakness vs. LHP and Crawford's weakness vs. LHP, that could work, or you could try to grab 2 decent prospects if you're not desperate for major league ready players this year.

I just read an article on Bleacher Report that proposed a hypothetical trade between the Braves and Red Sox that involved SP Julio Teheran going to Boston for C Blake Swihart, 1B/OF Nick Longhi, 3B Michael Chavis, & SP Trey Ball. Would this be fair value? And would there be anyway to make this trade without Swihart?
