As for the others, it would help if you had some players in mind you wanted in return. Gomez is a rental, but with his decent stats you could probably get a rental starting pitcher (sort of like the Yoenis Cespedes-Jon Lester deal a couple years ago) in return. Gomez isn't as good as Cespedes though.

Why do you want to trade your potential Rookie of the Year?
I might not necessarily trade them at all, I was just wondering what I could get for them. Here's what my rotation is looking like since you asked.

    Dallas Keuchel: 7-6, 107.1 IP, 3.19 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 38 ER, 4 HR, 2.91 WAR
    Doug Fister: 7-5, 111.1 IP, 3.56 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 44 ER, 9 HR, 2.45 WAR
    Lance McCullers: 8-9, 117.2 IP, 4.36 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 57 ER, 17 HR, 1.74 WAR
    Collin McHugh: 7-7, 132 IP, 3.07 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 45 ER, 15 HR, 2.67 WAR
    Mike Fiers: 9-4, 116.2 IP, 3.47 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 45 ER, 14 HR, 2.70 WAR

Evan Gattis is on the DL for 2 months, slashing .226/.261/.362, 11 HR, 37 RBI, 108 K's, -0.73 WAR, can't move him bc of injury. Max Stassi is backing up in his place.
Colby Rasmus is my other guy who's had a bad offensive year, though he's only played 50 games due to 2 concussions. .181/.224/.352, 10 HR, 20 RBI, 75 K's, -0.70 WAR.

I'm gonna try and lay a breadcrumb trail and tell you to think about what teams buy on the free agent market. If you don't follow i'll explain but figure it's best to kind of lead here.

I think maybe taking on some combination (can help you with that based on who you like) of the bolded names (or maybe Happ/Torres) would be a better fit for Wheeler as you wouldn't have to give up anything else.

If your set on Baez, maybe offer Matz if you are willing to give him up and take a little more back from the Cubs.

These two teams don't match up quite as well trade wise since most of their top prospects have seen quite a bit of MLB playing time.
I hear what your saying. As someone said earlier, the Cubs are so darn deep its hard to guage what they really need. In my franchise I actually moved Soler to the Yankees in order to get Miller ( this was before the Chapman trade happened IRL ) so that's one less OF to worry about. I really prefer not to give up Matz just because he's a lefty and gives my rotation some balance. However, after looking at my roster I think I'm gonna hold on to Wheeler for now. I think I have enough prospects and pieces that I don't really need Baez although he would be nice to have lol.

I leaning towards going back to my orginal plan which was to package Wheeler for a more established pitcher. I've signed some free agents so a bat isn't as big of a need as IRL.

How would a swap of Shelby Miller and Wheeler look ?

        Miller stats last year : 9-14 4.40 ERA 188.0 IP 1.37WHIP
Wheeler stats last year (missed time with a broken hand): 3-5 4.92 ERA 82.1 IP 1.51 WHIP

Same age but Wheeler has an extra year of team control I think. Regardless I would think I would have to add more on my side to get the deal done but I would be willing. Is this type of deal possible in terms of fairness and I guess realism within my franchise ?

Like I posted I may try to pull a Shelby Miller trade. Mine most likely won't be a 1 player swap though.

Hey guys, I'm currently at work so I dont have numbers. But in season two. My braves team needs a sp. Is the value here for a sale trade? Ruiz, Davidson, Albies and Allard.

The Braves absolutely have the farm to go get Sale, but that package isn't going to cut it.

You're looking at Albies AND Swanson plus Newcomb and Allard to get Rick Hahn on the phone and actually listening. Pitching costs a fortune now

Ruiz has been pretty mehhh since coming to the Atlanta farm, and Davidson hasn't been much better.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying that's a trade I would do (I wouldn't) but if the Rangers would include two of Mazara, Gallo and Profar the Braves would need to pony up. But with the offensive issues the Braves have, they really need to find a way to get bats not arms.

Before I decided to start my 6 team franchise over, I had dealt Ruiz, Davidson and Newcomb for Gray at trade deadline in year two. Helped us get into playoffs. Trade deadline year three came around and we were leading the league in wins but we're near last in RPG. Pirates were well out at deadline so I sent albies, inciarte, allard and Blair y for mccutchen. Helped us win the ship that year

I don't think mine would be either. I just want to see what type of value I would need to add along with Wheeler to make it fair. If anyone has any input would be greatly appreciated

IRL his value is very, very low and Miller is In triple-A. In my franchise he's in the MLB but he's having just as bad as a season. It would be a trade hoping he would go back to his old self.

Maybe I am reading this wrong, but Wheeler's value isn't very, very low. I wouldn't even say it is low.

I was talking about Miller. Wheelers is low coming off of TJ as well but not like IRL Shelby
