Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
If I was the Angels, I'd deal only if I could significantly upgrade my offense. I'm in contention, so I don't want to straight out weaken my team, but since I'm in contention, I could consider upgrading my offense if I really have just 3 hitters, one of which is older and not likely to keep it up, doing anything at the plate.
It would have to be a nice upgrade. Otherwise, I might just roll with what I have or find an upgrade that wouldn't take from my current rotation.Last edited by Mattchu12; 08-06-2016, 02:28 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
That's what I was thinking. I'm pretty much doing a full rebuild of the Yankees, so I could see myself dealing Ellsbury (2.20 WAR), Gardner (1.56 WAR), Headley (1.83 WAR), and Castro (-0.46 WAR). I'm just not sure that any of them, or nay combination of them, are enough to get a Skaggs.
Might be a tough sell for those names for someone doing what Skaggs is doing. Probably could match up the values, but unless I had that good of a rotation or someone who could do decent to fill in, I probably hang on.
I'd probably rather trade a decent B kid that needs a couple years for someone in the Gardener tier - decent production and a useful skill profile - if that upgraded my outfield. That might be a match if you're rebuilding and there's a prospect that could fit the bill. One of them for a prospect you're into."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I know it may sound crazy but i am at the all star break and I am heavily thinking about trading Phil Hughes. I am in playoff contention as I am 51-34 and 2.5 games ahead of the Indians for 1st place in the AL Central.
Phil Hughes W-L 12-3 IP 124.2 SO 77 ERA 2.17 WHIP 0.93 G 17 GS 17 QS 16 CG 3 WAR 3.01 K/9 5.56 BB/9 0.58 HR/9 0.79
I know trading your ACE during a playoff contention is unheard of but his value is possibly at highest peak right now. I was wondering what I could possibly get for him? There is no doubt he is in Cy Young conversation and he is under contract for a respectable price for 3 more years after this year.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

So entering year 4. One of my 12 teams is Arizona. In off season, LaD offers me grandal and Pederson for pollock. Both had sub par seasons while Pollack had a decent year. Fair value? I took the deal btw as I was in bad need of a catcherOakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit TigersPittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay PackersDetroit Red WingsComment

A rebuilding team wouldn't want him, and a contending probably wouldn't give up any major league contributors for him.Chicago Cubs
Michigan Wolverines

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Hold without Hughes as Berrios and Santana are doing well. But it was just a thought of "What kind of package I could land" type of scenario. I highly doubt I deal him since I will be dealing for Mesoraco soon. Playoffs!Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I made those two trades from a couple pages back and now with Pederson to play center could I move Ozuna plus to Texas for Profar?
I don't know if Texas has a spot for Profar but he could slot into 3rd base in 2017 after Prado leaves if not sooner if I can move him at the deadline.
Ozuna would be a good platoon partner with Choo if not his replacement and he has more control left than Profar.
What would I add to Ozuna for Texas or would they not be into it?
ThanksComment

For the numbers he is puttng up he could land a decent haul. I am using the Pomeranz trade as a starting point but I am not dealing him.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Older, more expensive, sure has what two years? Probably a smidge below an Espinoza. But he could definitely like some very solid prospects.Come hang with me on YouTube! I stream/make videos on a variety of games from sports, to action, to adventure!

Decent prospect/young pitcher that needs a bit more refinement for a useful OF now that has a few years left."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment
