I use the same exact settings on MLB 16 nothing changed and players looked dull washed out the skin flesh is not there. I pop in MLB 15 and you can see the detailed skin tones on that game with same exact settings so it is not everyone's TV settings.

I think the gameplay itself is very smooth, quite a few upgrades in that department. I have not experienced any of the lag issues some of the others have.
The equipment upgrades are nice as well.

The graphics are definitely lacking as far as the grass and the jerseys are concerned. The helmets look great and the shoes have good color but the jerseys look like they are flat as far as color goes. Almost like they have an overlay on them. The black jersey of the Pirates are lacking as well and their helmets at night almost take on a gray/silver appearance.

No doubt there is a lot of wasted screen when it comes to viewing stats, the font size could definitely be increased somewhat for easier viewing. The lack of stats when your batter comes to the plate is disappointing as well.

There are a few of the normal glitches as well. Busch stadium is showing 336' for the center field dimension. That float thing in center field at Marlins park does not light up when a Marlin hits a home run.

With all of that being said, there is a definite fun factor with the game play.

The Pirates black uniforms have not reflected the right color for years now. It gives off a grey sheen and it is not a true black like what you see in person, or even on TV.

The P on the uniform is not big enough, either.

I hope the devs read this and make a note in their notebook for next year.

On the schedule screen - move the SIM SEASON link to the very bottom. To many times (and once last year) I have come REALLY close to SIMing the whole year and then it auto saves and I'm screwed.

And below! Simple fix (??) Copy the IN-Game STATS to the SEASON Stats - BINGO. No need to have two totally different screens - Problem and complaints solved.

OH - NO Home Run Distance on a Walk off Home Run :-(

Batters who have stances that go out of the batter box slowly slide back into the box looking like there GLIDING.

Okay so I have decided to stop playing for a couple of days and give the devs a chance to iron out the bugs, most notably the frame rate. It's just getting to the point where it's getting in the way and making the game not fun. I will check out franchise and maybe some more conquest but as far as the actual gameplay, I'll wait for some fixes.

Can framerate issues successfully be patched?

As it stands, both pitching and hitting has terrible framerate issues, and practically unplayable. And I am never one to complain about framerate. Looking at strike three down the plate due to framerate. Ball pitch to undesirable location due to frame rate stutter. Bought the digital version, so I guess I'm out of luck on any type of refund?

I also have the digital version and for me it's smoothas butter. Hitting, pitching, fielding.....no problems whatsoever.

There is stutter / judder though. But it's mostly on replays. To be hones on replays it's pretty bad. Every time the MLB the show 16 logo comes swiping in it's terrible. Sad really cause i love watching the highlight reel after a game. This year the stutter is so annoying that i stopped doing that.

Commentary is better but still miles away from what 2k had.

For the rest i simply love this game. As said it's very smooth indeed.
Defense is much tighter this year. Diving plays have more of a snap to them (if that is the right word).
Infielders have more urgency to them now (if you preload the throw).
                      Absolutely love the new animations.
Noticed the colors popping less as some have said, but i simply adjusted the settings on my tv and problem solved.

Very happy with the game, will easily keep me busy until 17 comes along.
Next project : sounds of the show!

But since you're also experiencing it during certain sequences, I wouldn't call that "smoothas butta" anymore. If it's smooth as butter, it probably shouldn't happen. Otherwise, somethings causing it to occur.

I understand people having a different experience would also choose to voice their experience, but hopefully that doesn't discount another person's real experience as well. Because what I'm experiencing, whatever the term is, "frame rate, stutter, judder, or whatever" is in fact happening.

Are you using pulse pitching or meter pitching? I didn't notice it until I switched to pulse pitching, then meter pitching also started to act up.

The pitcher's throwing motion goes into a slow motion, stutter, judder, frame skipping, frame rate issue thing. The same goes with the batter.

Basically, the stutter/judder/framerate or whatever it's called is actually affecting the gameplay (pitching and hitting).

Fair enough, i guess smooth as butter is not correct then.
What i tried to express is that it's very very smooth during gameplay for me. It's just the replays / cutscene's that are really bad.

I play with classis pitching, so no meter/pulse/timing thing. Just a press of the button.
Perhaps that's the reason i have no problems with it.

I heard people having problems/stutter during hitting and fielding but i simply do not have that.

I'm not saying that because i don't have it it's not there. I have ready the thread about the stutter and seems a lot of people have it. I'm hoping that it gets solved for the people who suffer from it.
Sofar i believe SDS have not reacted to it (?)
Let's see what the next patch brings.

                            .
Sure it doesn't help every year mods lock every framerate/stutter thread. Like we are here only to bash The Show and not to help devs to make a better game. With this attitude, probably devs don't think framerate is a big issue just becasue people stop to complain about it after every thread get locked.

BTW - Frame rate is zero problem in MoM. fantastic look and feel - sparkles on railings are an annoyance but frame rate is fine for us guys! The tiny circles for stamina are a major pain in the butt.

At least the frame rate issues aren't as bad as that glitch a few years ago (12 or 13) where the ball would sometimes freeze just out of the pitcher's hand. Boy was that a heck of a trick pitch.
