Hey guys, been a member of OS for a over 5 years, however new to "The Show" community on OS...Got a quick newb question:

I am currently about 1/2 thru ST in my franchise, if I continue playing it, will the patch be incorporated into my franchise automatically once it comes out? Or will I have to start a new franchise for the patch to take affect?

Also, I hear a lot about the "OS rosters" that everyone is waiting for...I'm hoping someone can give me a general overview of what makes them significant...from a cursory glance I don't see any threads explaining them as such. Just a brief explanation of why so many are waiting for them to start their franchise would be much appreciated!!!

In the past patches typically applied to franchise's that are in progress. You should be O.K. But I can't 100% say yes to that.

Im still having problems with my carry over franchise 1 day after the World series,If i carry over from that day, the game crashes in the offseason. No matter what i do.

Only reason why i havent did offseason in 15 and then carry over from the begninning S/T is either Bryce harper remains unsigned in the free agent pool or Matt Harvey lol. And also because of the morale ( i know its minor) issue.

Any word on if the carry over problem will be addressed in a patch?

Absolutely loving this years Franchise rebuilding the Yankees but I've run into a bug I believe.

Even though my scouts are set to manual, if I finish my game and head on to the next day the scouts are individually scouting players. No matter if I put the scouts to searching for infielders/outfielders/pitchers the scouts end up doing something completely different...

Has anyone else run into this problem in Franchise?

Am I the only guy seeing weird stuff with progression/regression? For example Corey Dickerson, B potential, 26 years old, hitting .315 in May with around 100 at bats in May is -2 CONvsL and -3 CONvsR. Why is he declining? It makes me wonder if I'm wasting my time continuing my franchise.

The progression system is not just based on performance. That is a part, but there are other factors that affect progression.

So if I aim after first at bat on opening day I don't get to play opening day? Is that for real?

For those experiencing the First Career HR glitch in franchise you must do the following to avoid it.

Start a new franchise. (Doesn't matter if you have 30 TC on or not)

Go to the first game of the season

Select the road team

Playout the first at bat then sim to the end.

Doing this will eliminate the HR bug and the Opening Day presentation bug.





FYI. This workaround does not work with carry ovef saves. You have to start a new franchise.

So let's say I'm the Cubs. I go to the first game of the season meaning the first game of opening day and play out first pitch then sim. Then go to my game and play my opening day game and the home run glitch won't be there?

You have to play out the 1st at bat not pitch, but yes that is correct. The glitch will be gone.

I'm wondering what those factors are. In my example Dickerson isn't declining due to potential, age or performance but he is declining.

I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to keep players from declining.

Has there been any word on why proposed trades are not appearing? I've been testing it in franchise and there are trades being made that never show up as proposed. I always like to screen the trades to make sure Bryce Harper isn't being dealt for two relief pitchers.

It's frustrating that every year there's always a multitude of issues that seem to pop up that often didn't exist in years past. I hope they address this.

Is this on a carryover save? Single team or 30 team control?

In brand new franchises set up on MLB 16 the Instant Trade toggle has been removed. There is no longer an option for delayed trades.

It shows up on multiple occasions weather you or the CPU hit a HR. You also get stuck with the Opening Day presentation every game in some cases as well.

Yep I have a very good feeling the OSD is bugged. Has a bug reprot been made for this on The Show Nation??? I think this is a huge thing for immersion and TV style presentation.

Definetly a bug.

I re-watched the dev stream,the one with kirby about commentary ect, and during one of the clips they showed it had a walk up osd that showed the players "today" stats as well as there current season stats down the bottom like it was in previous versions of the show. Around the 29min mark.
