It's only totally green on Opening Day...then it's Brown until the last series of April where it starts to go green.
It slowly goes to all green by the May 11th series vs. San Diego.

Is that consistent with normal growth pattern IRL?

Yeah, that fits with my pic - it was taken on the 10th game of the season. I honestly didn't pay close enough attention to opening day to notice (it was a CPU vs CPU test season).

Sorry I didn't provide the context, but I'm glad we sniffed out the specific problem.

Let's just pretend the crew spray-painted the ivy green for opening day, to make it look nice for all the TV viewers. Problem solved.

Just played my second franchise game (home game #2) at Wrigley. It was another night game and the ivy is still green. So the brown ivy must only show during day games.

Not sure that is right. Definitely something wrong here. I just played the Cubs in my Rockies season in mid April and the first 2 games had green ivy. Thought that was odd.

Both my games were day games BTW.

went into game 2 or 3...brown...

then as noted in my other post.

Only one thing I just realized(but I don't think it matters since I got the game 1 bug)....it was a carry over franchise.
