MLB The Show 15 or 16?

I'm still playing MLB The Show 14. I want to upgrade. I can get a copy of 15 for $20.00. My question: is 16 that much better then 15 to warrant the extra $40.00?

The jury is still out for me. I paid $100 for the total pre-release package because all those packs and stubs seemed worth it to me (and I got some pretty valuable stuff in the packs which I immediately converted to a ridiculous amount of stubs, so it all paid off). But honestly, if I hadn't gotten all that extra stuff, I wouldn't be so certain that I got what I paid for. So far, it seems like a push. But I'm still getting used to the game. I think I have about 10 hours of playing time in 16. So it's still too early for me to say. If I had to base a decision on what I know right now, I would say the upgrade is not worth it and go with 15. Who knows though? In a month, I might think differently.

I think it depends on what modes you are interested in and play most often. If RTTS, then yes you should get 16. Improvements in other modes as well, but which one do you play almost exclusively?

Definitely would recommend 16. Graphically and performance wise I see a clear difference. When you load up that first night game you'll realize you made a good decision.

Ummmm honestly I say go 16 only because you don't have 15. So far I like 15 over 16 as I am still playing 15 with bacon roster v 10 and some custom sliders, don't get me wrong 16 is good but right now I'm still loving 15, graphics, the lighting I like much better then 16 version. I don't know if I helped but I gave you my opinion.

16 is much better than 15 especially visually. Gameplay is improved as well. An all around great game. Didn't think they could improve much over last year, but they did.

I agree.

There is a big difference between 16 and 15. Both in terms of graphics and gameplay.

Plus, the majority of us have moved on to 16, and I'm guessing that it might be a little harder to find online players.

Huge difference in gameplay with 16 and seriously if your not playing Diamond Dynasty you are missing out on pure fun.

I mean wow. Conquest and Battle Royale are go to modes for me right now. It's incredible.

Haven't enjoyed a baseball game straight out of the box on launch this much in years to be completely honest. To me the game feels much more refined, and plays far smoother than in the past. They are finally getting it dialed in on the newer gen consoles, only took a couple years.

Thanks for the input. I play full seasons with one team (franchise mode) so I guess I'll go with 16

I've played every baseball game made on console in the last 20 years, and I can't think of any reason at all anyone would recommend 15 over 16. 16 is a better game, and it launched feeling like a better game than 15 ever did.

Yeah 16 rtts doesn't have many improvements worth the money. If you play more franchise or online play though, get 16.
