I'm a Full Broadcast guy:

1. Ability to turn off every possible icon/notification:
a. the baserunning diamond (way too distracting; i use auto baserunning/fielding)
b. defense shift notification/icon (pretty annoying; i use auto fielding / defensive positioning)
c. manager tips (pretty annoying...i could have sworn i have this turned off in the settings)

2. Full Broadcast Stuff:
a. please fix it so that the catcher throws the ball back to the pitcher uninterrupted (at least in full broadcast mode)...this used to be the case in previous versions...it even does it at times during this year's game (i.e. when the umpire is introduced at the beginning of the game)
b. please have the camera follow the ball into the stands, foul territory more than not (at least in the full broadcast mode)
c. please fix it so that none of the batter walk up sequences are skipped...(at least in full broadcast mode)...it used to not get skipped in previous versions

Man, the game is so close to perfection...I swear it's like each new version is 5 steps forward .5 steps back.

Edit:
- please have 'Smarter Cutscenes'...if that makes sense. For example, save the pitcher taking off hat/wiping forehead for intense situations; don't have the batter complain about striking out when the ball was thrown right down the middle of the plate..etc...

The Pitch Count has been broken since Quick Counts feature came out. Can we please fix it finally. I noticed it's a little better this year but it's still broken and inaccurate. When a player hits the ball or gets walked, that pitch does not count, plus it still skips a pitch every now & then. One of my games I took my pitcher out when it said 102 pitches on the scoreboard. He ended up being POTG and it showed 135 pitches.

It's not broken, it's done by design this way and I can't remember the reasoning but it was a necessity because of the mode.

I'm sure someone can dig up the thread here from last year that explains this.

Agree with everything you posted!! I am a full broadcast man myself. I thought that once they introduced Hybrid mode, the Broadcast mode would have the full blown presentation package. But it's pretty much like last year. Hope full broadcast presentation can be patched BACK in.

i'm a strictly offline player...franchise w/ OSFM rosters; never thought about player lock...will have to check that out. i'm so 'tv broadcast' driven i learned years ago to bat from BTP view (LAA brodcast view) using zone analog + stride (no cursor visible)...so i was glad to see stride brought back

...now that i think about it...i forgot to mention i wish they'd patch in turning off the HR camera...again, i could have sworn this option was in a previous version...i say 'i could have sworn' a lot because each year i trade in the game for the new version (i'm oldschool 38yrs old...i like tangible assets)...each year always changes enough for me to get the new version

Nah, no way. Not like this. They are sliding like crazy all over the box when they take a pitch. this is making the game pretty unbearable when taking a pitch. that might be a little over the top but dang its really annoying

Ya I am definitely see feet sliding a lot more, now that I have started my Franchise.

It seems really bad with specific players. Tulo does like an inverted moonwalk when he's in the batters box.

You can also see little hitches and twitches where his back foot slides a bit.

It's not broken, it's done by design this way and I can't remember the reasoning but it was a necessity because of the mode.

I'm sure someone can dig up the thread here from last year that explains this.

It was said to speed up the game but that is really silly because it really only makes the game like 5 minutes shorter and baseball is just a long sport. If time is really a issue play with quick counts. To remove something to speed the game up when it only makes like a 5 minute difference is just silly. Its not like it makes the game 40 minutes faster or something.

I would like there to be volume normalization for music that you import into the game. Some songs play at the correct volume, other songs I can barely hear.

Im pretty certain this has already been mentioned but while it may seem small, i would consider it a big small one, if you get me.

In Season/Franchise mode, can we please get the AVG/HR/RBI slash lines back under the Today in the batters display on walkup?

On the first at bat of the game it shows the seasons stats and in every edition of The Show like, ever, they then show underneath the "todays" line, as in 1-2, Double RBI etc, then underneath we see the cumulative slash of AVG/HR/RBI.

This has been taken out of the game this year, i have no idea why, im thinking its maybe an oversight as its not remotely realistic, virtually every TV broadcast has these showing on every at bat, not just the first of the game.

In summary:

Please bring back the small slash lines of cumulative stats UNDER the "todays" line in the display for EVERY at bat, not just the first of the game.

Probably badly explained but does anyone else get me?

I echo this loudly. Weird thing is in my franchise.....on second AB's some of my guys they had the season totals under the today's totals.....some did not. Then on third AB's they all just went to today.

Something is amiss under the hood and I hope the team is well aware of it and it will be patched. I gotta believe it's a bug.

I am confident this will be fixed.


On another note I am not seeing series recaps in pre-game as of yet. By the third game of a series you would see a series re-cap. Was this removed?

And how about how a player is doing for the series. You would see that stat under the other batter stats when they came up to the plate. These are huge presentation things when your playing 162 games. Mind you I am only 7 games into my franchise. So I hope it is just because it's early.

Yeah, really hoping so. As you say if its appearing sometimes and not others it almost certainly sounds like a bug, i mean theres no design reason i could possibly think of for them taking this out.

Really hoping its fixed in the next patch.
