For me it is especially prevalent in cutscenes, like when you see the relief pitcher coming out of the bullpen, or the broadcast transitions, where the logo sorts of "chops" its way across the screen. At that point it's almost impossible not to notice.

Gameplay-wise I am personally not seeing a whole lot.

He showed a video that shows clear stuttering. Until your defense of it is something more than "I don't see it" you're probably better off to just move on from the discussion.

It's not like he's saying it's making the game unplayable or anything and I know he very much enjoys the game as do most of us.

I am sure there are some people that are having the issue. But so far to me there is zero evidence that shows this is a issue so far and that video is no different as it doesn't show any thing and looks the same as the first video that was said to be at a good frame rate. If the first video looked smoother than the second video that would be a clear evidence but they don't they look the same. In till I see some real clear stuttering this is nothing more than he said she said kind of thing to me. I am not the only one that says they don't see any issues in game play frame rate and I don't buy that some people can just see it and some don't. I think some people are having Frame rate issues and I don't know why. I am following this thread because I want to see what kind of issues people are having and try to find out why some people have a smooth game and why some don't. I am looking to see if people are seeing it at certain stadiums or something so I can try it and see if it happens so that we can maybe find out what causes it and for the people that have a issue it sucks. I wish ever one had a smooth game.

So leave it as a he said/she said thing man.

You can keep fighting the good fight to no avail. You keep saying your trying to help but all I hear is that you are trying to say you don't believe those who are saying they have framerate issues.

Follow the thread all you want but if you don't have anything productive to add you may as well wait to contribute more until you do.

Like actual evidence of it not existing like I suggested yesterday.

I don't have a youtube account or a way to record or any thing but what stadiums have people seen bad frame rate in so far? I think I have heard people say cubs, A'S, redsox so far any other ones? I have only tried A's out of those 3 teams.

No they don't look the same.

Watch a breaking pitch on the first video and then Stroman's on the second. There's "multiple balls" showing especially as the ball approaches the hitting zone. Once I noticed them, I could see it each and every time.

The larger the movement on the pitch, the more it shows, which is why it showed up really well on that last slider at the end.

At first I couldn't tell, but I watched the first and then the second immediately after and started seeing the "multiple baseballs" once the pitch enter the hitting zone.

There's a few pitches where it's easier to see than others, but the problem is definitely present all throughout on every pitch. The flight of the ball is not smooth - it appears to skip frames as compared to the first video. It's hard to notice on the straight balls Stroman throws because the ball doesn't move from its original release point very much. But, on the third pitch, and ESPECIALLY the slider he throws at the end, the ball moves significantly off its release point and it really appears to skip.

I want to elaborate on the slider because that's a perfect example of why people find this to be an issue. Of course, when it's that far outside I'm not going to swing at it. But, when it ends up closer to the plate than that (as it often is), I'm getting exactly half of the ball's animation frames that I should be getting to make a swing decision. That makes pitches like this VERY hard to hit or lay off of. And that's why the framerate being lower in some stadiums than others is a problem.

I am still loving this game despite this - and I bat successfully despite it on HOF which is a real challenge. So this isn't "ruining the game" for me, per se. But it's there. And I would definitely like to hear input from the others claiming this problem now that I could finally show proof of it. Is it the same thing you're seeing during batting?
I'm with you, bcruise. This game more than almost any other game needs to be running at a high and consistent frame rate. It doesn't. Like you said, not a game breaker, but a problem nonetheless.

At the risk of sounding like the guy wearing the tin hat, I think we can assume why the frame rate issues have not been addressed to date: If Sony is indeed planning on releasing powerful new hardware somewhere down the line, The Show will certainly benefit from it and it will likely be an advertised feature for that console version moving forward.

It's a smart marketing strategy. I wish I could be proven wrong here, but that's what it feels like.

It's not a PS4 or an hardware problem. It's a software problem, including the decision to use the same graphic engine of the PS3 version.

Well, I certainly hope you're right. But if The Show 17 comes with an "Optimized For PlayStation NEO!" tagline and runs significantly smoother, I wouldn't be shocked.

My framerate bug report has gone missing from the show nation. 4th on the list in votes...safe to say they won't be addressing it now.

The frame rate issue isn't going to make me stop playing this game. Hell, I won't stop playing this game even if I didn't get all my promised pre-order packs.

But I do think it's poor form to delete a popular bug report. I would respect a statement that said, "The game is what it is. Take it or leave it."

Sony San Diego is one of the least corporate developers in my opinion, but they are corporate to a small degree.

Playing in Houston, Overcast, with the Roof open is the worst performance I have seen from this game yet.

And it's not choppy occasionally, it's a steady sub 30 frame rate.
