To Showtime or not

So I'm about to start a brand new RTTS series with either a 1st or 3rd baseman. However, I am really struggling with the idea of using Showtime - it just feels so gamey.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to play without it, but what do you use in RTTS?

Yup. Very first thing I did was turn showtime off. Not even going to try and get the trophies for it.

I don't use showtime as much with regards to batting/pitching or catching flyballs (I don't use the meter basically).

I do use it for throwing though. I'm a 2B in RTTS and it makes routine plays so much more enjoyable.

Nope! Never! That's not baseball! FYI if you use player lock in franchise mode and turn the Showtime opportunities off! It still happens! :/

Never. The second they announced it I knew I wouldn't use it. Nor do I use perks.

IMO, Showtime fielding is different from the rest of the package and the only part I would consider using as a different fielding/throwing interface.

But yeah, the rest of Showtime is not really my cup of tea.

I don't care for the perks either. But I did find a really useful one in RTTS. There is one that makes your cpu teammate steal so you can execute a hit a run if you want. So you can step into the manager's shoes a little with that one which is something RTTS sometimes needs.

I actually like it, especially fielding and stealing. I use for hitting sometimes, usually only when I need a clutch hit. Personally feels very "baseball" to me.

I've used it for hitting a few times and I've missed the ball 90% of the time so I obviously suck at it.

Yes. It's fun. I don't think I've had one good hit with it yet lol but fielding is way more enjoyable with it

I use it.
Fielding (I play 2B) is much more enjoyable with it (and a bit more challenging also)
I don't use it that much when stealing (mostly because I only attempt a steal when my manager ask me to, my speed rating being in the low 50s)
I use it in hitting since it's much harder for me to hit this year. I decided to hit with All-star this year, last year I used only Veteran.
I managed to hit my first and only HR (which happened to be a Grand Slam, imagine that) on All-star only by using Showtime AND power swing. And that involved luck as well considering I was way late on the pitch and almost hit the pole. (That's how good I am, lol). My power attribute is 40 though.
But apart for this particular HR, I almost never get a good result hitting with Showtime so I probably need to learn to use it properly.

I don't like Showtime and Perks, for me those features are a bit off topic in a simulation game like The Show.

I play as a pitcher and when I don't use the Showtime for fielding pitches... my player will bug out.

He'll pick it up and just stand there, even with me pressing to throw the button. The bar will fill up, but he'll just hold it unless I use the showtime ability. :\
