I tried it but couldn't stand it. It's happening way too many times and it generate too much errors to my liking...

Re: To Showtime or not
I use it for fielding and base stealing all the time. I don't care if it's not realistic, I think it adds more excitement to fielding. It's not boring like just pressing a button to throw was. I like the aiming feature.Comment

Re: To Showtime or not
I understand not wanting to try it, but don't knock it before trying it. It's just a fun addition and it doesn't take away from the realism at all IMO.Comment

Re: To Showtime or not
I'll give it a go, eventually, even if only briefly, just to keep away any chance of monotony. Probably around the dog days of August. But there really isn't any chance that I could make it an everyday habit. But that's also because I don't go deep into RTTS. I'm more franchise/season oriented. I just use RTTS as a mild distraction, again, just to keep things fresh on the franchise front. Still, if it brings in a new audience, I'm all for that.T-BONE.

Re: To Showtime or not
It's awesome. Makes diving catches manageable, challenging, and exciting. Throws to first are no longer the same thing from every other year.
Also, perks include options to send the runner from first while Batting, and have hitter take pitch while on base to attempt to steal. 2 'coaching-esqe' options not available before.

Re: To Showtime or not
For those of you interested in making fielding more "interesting" - try button accuracy versus buttons. I quickly developed a liking for it, especially in offline without the BS server lag.
I find button accuracy to be much more intuitive than the matrix feeling of showtime and it makes things interesting.
I'm also saying no to the perks - too gamey, not the experience I want.Born Seattle, live Denver.

Re: To Showtime or not
Not a fan.
Pretty useless if you are using Stride, manipulating both analogs while holding down trigger isn't smooth at all.
Slowing down each and every throw is ridiculous, should be for big plays in big situations only.
Makes diving way too easy, dives are supposed to be spectacular and from what I saw it makes them automatic.
Pretty much what I thought it was going to be when it was announced: An overused gimmicky arcade-style addition to appeal to casuals. I'm sure if they worked on it some more it could be improved on, but for now I think it's a waste.
I won't even comment on Perks.Last edited by Stolm; 04-09-2016, 02:09 AM.Comment

Re: To Showtime or not
"Too gamey", while holding a controller in front of a TV.
Is switching cameras with L2 while ball is in play, seeing a meter under fielder, able to pause to see a full scouting report in between pitches too gamey? Because none of that happens in real life either.

Re: To Showtime or not
The bullet-time features of Showtime (hitting, pitching, baserunning, fielding) can be used in player lock mode to a limited extent (I think you'll get 1 Showtime swing per game, it's a big hit to the meter). But no perks.Comment
