Yes it is a bug I've reported it on the show nation site! I turned it off using player lock in franchise mode and it still happens.

First option I disabled after downloading the game. I'll post a link to the bug reports in a little while if anyone else is experiencing the same thing and wants to up vote it in hopes it will get worked on.

Like many others the first thing I did was disable the showtime feature. Nothing but a gimmick.

Guess I'm one of the few enjoying it, although I would have preferred keeping the catch button at the same time. I do only use it for fielding/throwing though.

"Too gamey", while holding a controller in front of a TV.

Is switching cameras with L2 while ball is in play, seeing a meter under fielder, able to pause to see a full scouting report in between pitches too gamey? Because none of that happens in real life either.

Gimmick.. Seeing this word from those who didn't even try it one time, just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it's not fun to a lot more.

I tried it plenty, and it brings nothing to the game. I feel it actually detracts from the game. It's a thing they can throw on the back of the box, and hope they attract people with words like "perks" and "Showtime".

I wanted to word it differently so it didn't come across wrong but just said forget it. It adds an element of fun to the game, just because there isn't an appeal to you doesn't mean you are correct it's just a gimmick.
