Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
It'd like MLB to add the ability to trade cash for players or to balance out a trade. It's becoming a large part of the trade system in real life and it will make it easier to complete more realistic trades.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
I'm almost strictly a franchise guy so my wishlist is based around that.
1)Rain delays/Rain outs and doubleheaders/make up games because of that
2) Ability to pinch hit for a guy before he comes to the plate
3)When using quick counts, give me a new count when I sub a pitcher in. Or give me the opportunity to sub a pitcher in before the AB starts
4) The ability to trade more than 3 players and 3-team trades
5) The ability to trade money
6) Non-Roster invitees
7) Roster caps bigger than 90 per team
8) Better A.I. bullpen managment. Too often the CPU will bring in a lefty while I got a guy due up who crushes lefties (or vice versa with righties)
9)More equipment brands (New Balance, Axe Bats, Victus, Jordan)
10) Been said 1000 times but rotating inter-league schedules
11) Better A.I. rotation management (skipping starts, spot starts)
12) Improve Challenge system (was a little too easy this year)
13)More player specific commentary (really improved from 15 to 16 but what Madden has done this year set a new bar. Would like to see SCEA up their game once again)
14)Better player models (I'm terrible with faces so I'm not saying I can do better but some of 16's were awful *Blake Swihart*)
14 suggestions. Seems like a lot but I'm being super nit-picky. I'd be ecstatic if any 2 or 3 of those made it into 17. And by no means was this a knock on 16. 16 was my favourite sports game ever, couldn't be more excited for 17. Thanks SCEA, truly fantastic work every year.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
But spring training doesnt actually mean anything in real life, its glorified practice. There is no correlation from spring training performance to regular season performance. Veteran pitchers are hitting the back 9 before the game is even over.Comment

But in any case I wouldnt make ST so important that if you sim it, you hinder yourself in the regular season.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Maybe something along the lines of you get to choose one player to greatly improve their durability or stamina and one other player you can marginally improve their potential. I dont really know, I havent spent a great deal of thought on it. I'm just spitballing here.

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Something along the lines of the 'Position Battles' feature that Madden had back in the older-gen days. Focus on the battle for the number five spot in the rotation; or the cleanup spot in the lineup. Focus on the players who are fighting for a spot on the Major League roster for whom it hangs in the balance whether they drop back to the AAA squad. Have the batting/pitching coaches really matter because during the regular season the amount of practise that actually impacts is negligible, such is the number of games played. It's in spring training where that stuff really matters.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Not a new feature, more of a fix of a current feature. Fix the check swing referals so they actually call it a swing every now and again. It's currently just a waste of time as 99 times out of a 100, if not more, the 1st/3rd base umpire says no swing. It's genuinely a complete shock if they do call it a swing, I think I've seen it maybe twice?Comment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
I've tried posting this elsewhere, but I feel it's going ignored.
I'd love a simple auto-save or manual save function in the middle of Fantasy Drafts, similar to what Madden does with their fantasy drafts.
I like to completely mix up the players, teams, and prospects (with OSFM) and have an alternate universe thing go on (since I don't like my baseball to mimic reality too much), but one thing that constantly gets in the way are hardware or software crashes.
Point is, I've lost so many drafts to crashes that come out of nowhere, with no warning that it was about to happen. Some of these drafts can take hours, and it's always tremendously disappointing to have it happen when I'm just getting satisfied with how things are.
Just a save button. That's all I ask for. Or an auto-save at the end of each round. Or something. Anything.-the least famous person you've never heard of.Comment
