The commish has mentioned possible expansion, but not until Oakland and Tampa Bay get new stadiums. Seems to me a perfect time to add this as I know I am not the only one that would like it. I see people mention it every year. Especially those that remember the feature from All Star Baseball.
Yes, definitely an expansion option or just create-a-team option. Plus, being able to have the option of picking & choosing from many different uniforms. Let people/gamers create their own unis & expansion teams & upload to the vault for other users to dwnload. This stuff would be really cool!

Put 2B, 3B HR next to each other in the stats
Put SB and CS next to each other in the stats
Put "AVG vs. LHB" and "Avg vs. RHB" for pitchers on the before game stat screen

Add TEAM TOTAL for all stats on the before game stat screens.

All Star Game voting needs a complete overhaul!!! Mimic real life voting system:

        Fans vote for starters

IRL ASG Managers & certain MLB players choose the rest. In the game maybe that can be apart of whichever AL&NL franchise is coming off the World Series. I was thinking it could look like the June draft but use the same formula used in the league leaders screen so only eligible players are being considered to limit the amount of players are shown in the screen.

Is a stadium creator a bit unrealistic or do you think that's possible? Because I'd love to be able to move into a new stadium in Franchise if I wanted, even if you could only change a few things like the outfield size, roof/no roof, size of foul ground or whatever. You could have a preset collection of fairly generic styles that would just change colours/logo's and the like depending on the team you were? Maybe it's a bit too big an ask or not really possible with the licence.

Being able to create an expansion team would be great though, with an expansion draft, fully customiseable uniforms, logo, stadium etc. I imagine a lot of people would love to really start at the bottom and work their way up with a team that is their own.

Another thing I wouldn't mind seeing is the removal of players potential ratings being displayed. If I want to find out how good a player in another teams farm system is I should have to send scouts to evaluate them, like with the draft, or be able to see a list of what order they are ranked as prospects by their club?

              - Better collision detection
              - Less AI ESP (ie a passed ball or wild pitch, the AI catcher automatically knows where the ball is going)
              - More weather dynamics
              - Commentary..even after 10 games you hear too many repeats
              - Fix the "K" count..The cards fans put up only show 1 K in a few stadiums
              - Better player/ump models *and fix the OCD umps who constantly fiddle with their masks
              - Improved ballpark crowd sounds and cutscenes
              - Improved grass and dirt/chalk lines..maybe even let the ball get dirty!

What I hate is when a catcher recovers a loose ball and then throws it to 3rd through the umpire. Boy, would I had been pissed if I was out.

                    Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?

A lot of my list I've found from others in this thread and am just echoing.

First and foremost I think fielding needs the biggest amount of attention for 2017. We've talked about the lack of urgency, the struggles to get guys to charge balls, being caught in animations, how quick the catcher hops out of his crouch, the way momentum sometimes gets horribly exagerrated (often with a pitcher fielding a bunt/short hit), etc. I think fielding is by far the biggest issue needing to be addressed.

Second on gameplay is ball physics. I think the ball holds up in the air for too long, limiting the number of gap linedrives, cutting down on bloop hits, and causing me to need to reduce the fielder speed slider, which in turn causes triples (or even inside the park HRs) when they should be doubles due to slowness chasing the ball. Would love to see a bit of a revamp on how hits are coming off the bat and how long they stay in the air.

                    On the more cosmetic level:

                    1. allow user to tinker with windup/arm slot/stance to get a hitter out of a slump. It could even be random if it works or if the hitter takes a huge penalty and has to return to the previous version. A better hitting or pitching coach can up the chances of the tinkering working. And in the minors, tinkering could bump up potential on young players or reduce it.

                    2. collisions. haven't had two fielders collide yet. Nor a baserunner and a fielder.

                    3. more emotions. I have ejections on, but I'm not seeing them. I want to see bickering with the ump, managers getting upset, arguments with and without ejections. Players snapping a bat when striking out in a key situation, etc.

                    4. Rainouts and doubleheaders. Make teams have to strategize in franchise mode. Call up an extra pitcher, plan for the bullpen, etc.

                    5. Create a stadium

                    6. Be able to cancel retirements or manually retire a player. No reason WE shouldn't be in control of retirements if we disagree with the AI/randomness

                    7. Full editing of players. beard and hair should be able to be edited even on "real players." Guys change styles.

                    8. Creat your own draft class which of course can be shared. Allow for editing of draft classes in case you want to create a bust draft class or a bumper crop of talent one year. Also larger draft classes. I know this would require upping the 90 person per team limit, but real baseball has multiple levels of A ball and rookie leagues. Draft should be 20 rounds or more

                    9. Add a screen for tracking hitting streaks, scoreless inning streaks, consecutive games with HRs, etc. Also be able to toggle to a career milestone screen where you can see which player is headed for a career milestone. If possible have announcers make sure they announce milestones for everyone. They might not be able to say the name of a created/generated player but they could simply say after a hit, "That's number 1000 for him today. Congratulations!" or something to that effect.

                    10. With contracts/trades add in a no trade clause option and even a limited one (like LuCroy having 8 teams he could veto). Allow for 3 team trades, more than 3 players to be traded at once, and cash to be sent. Allow for teams to offer to pick up part of the salary to facilitate a deal.

                    11. Catcher visit to mound. Just like a manager visit maybe this gives a slight bump for the pitcher or maybe it irritates him or messes up his rythmn. Just something to add some realism.

                    12. Real minor league stadiums.

                    13. Ads. I've never understood why Comerica Park has the "Admiral Motors" fountain. What is the reason it can't be GM? They may even pay a touch for it.

                    14. Bring back the front office mode where you set ticket prices, concessions, etc. Make it optional of course but some of us enjoyed that.

                    15. Winter ball.

                    16. Revamp ASG voting to be more realistic. Fans vote stars for the most part with some respect to big first halfs. Have the voting reflect that. And an ASG selection show would be neat for the starters, then the reserves picked players and manager. Could even have the final man voting with five options.

                    17. Hidden potential for guys not on your team. You have to send scouts to unlock their potential. Limited number of scouts of course to make you have to choose where to put your resources.

                    18. Pitcher energy revamp. Have pitchers slowly "lose it" most games as the pitch count increases and the number of stressful pitches increases. However you can also have games where a pitcher simply has it and at pitch 90 is just as sharp as at pitch 10. Pitchers who can go deep into games and throw 120 pitches easily like Verlander would have less penalty for high pitch counts than a rookie who hasn't developed their stamina

                      Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?

1)More accessible/sortable stats in Franchise Mode. When I click on a player card, I want to be able to see his entire career stats, including minor league stats. I want to be able to see all of the stats I can see in the "League" screen under "statistics", and I want to be able to see them on his player card, EVEN when I'm in the lineup screen after I've chosen "play game". (If you haven't noticed, stats are unavailable on player cards when setting/accepting your starting lineup right before a game.)
The way it works now, you can't see minor league stats anywhere but in the "statistics" section on the "team" screen.
If you promoted a guy from the minors to MLB, you can't see his minor league stats without demoting him again.
If text-based games with tiny budgets can do it, surely SCEA can make awesome spreadsheets and player cards that are intuitive and user friendly.

                      2) Get rid of player morale. It's broken, buggy, and unrealistic. It doesn't add value IMO. I think it's a waste of resources to fix something like this. I've seen all kinds of sports games try to add in "morale"/"personality"/"chemistry" features, and I've seen it become a source of hassle and frustration, nothing more, the vast majority of the time.

                      3) Make pitcher stamina/recovery work the same in postseason as it does in regular season. Guys don't need 5-7 days rest to be near 100% in the postseason IRL.

                      4) In practice mode, add batting practice vs. SPECIFIC pitches. If I only wanna work on recognizing the changeup vs fastball, then let me select to see a pitcher's 4FB and CH.

                        Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?

                        5) Remove numerical durability ratings. I don't think anyone IRL is able to approximate a players potential for injury to 99 degrees of detail. How about 4 ratings (like in OOTP), Iron Man, Durable, Normal, Fragile. I know you can't steal the exact words, but something similar. As it stands now, durability is way too high on the high end, and way low on the low end.

                        6) Also, related to durability, quit creating draft classes with so many guys with durability ratings below 30. I think it's kind of silly to have that many teenagers in baseball who are that fragile. I think the VAST majority of draftees should have "normal" durability, several who are "durable", none who are "iron men", because they haven't been around long enough to prove it, and a few who are "fragile". But maybe one or two guys max per draft who are injuries waiting to happen, if that.
I'd replace the draftees with 10 Durability with guys who are shown to be currently injured in their Scouting Report during the scouting phase of the season. Then, when those guys are drafted, they recover from Tommy John or torn achilles or whatever, they take the field in the minors, and you roll the dice.
As it stands now, a draftee with 10 durability is ALWAYS going to be under 30-40 durability. At 18-21 years old, he has no chance of recovering from whatever malady he had that has made him so fragile, which is weird to have in such frequency. I assume durability won't go from 10 to 70 or from 10 to even 50 if they somehow make it through 3-4 seasons virtually injury free. If it does, that's great!
And, yes, there are young players who wind up being extremely injury prone IRL. But, if they're in an MLB organization, the organization doesn't KNOW for a fact that they'll be that way for life, or they'd release him. The player himself doesn't even know it, or he'd retire.
That's another reason exact numerical durability or injury ratings don't really quantify any player's injury risk as well as a contact rating does for a hitter or a velocity rating for a pitcher.
Injury risk just isn't that exact or predictable, and the code in MLB The Show should reflect that, and if it already does (which I doubt, but I haven't done any scientific studies on MLB The Show), then durability ratings should be more general.

I think potential rating should always be shown, but the ACCURACY of that rating should be determined by the caliber of your scouting dept.
I think every organization in the MLB has an opinion on virtually every minor leaguer, the difference comes in the Quality and Accuracy of that opinion.

Go back to number ratings. The graphics for various skills are difficult to read. I'd much rather compare numbers for who I want at catcher against a lefty than try to read this mutant pie chart. At least give us the option to toggle to the old school ratings visuals.

                              RTTS:

In Road to the Show at the beginning the game produces fictional players who are eventually drafted by the 30 teams. Instead of using totally new fictional players I would like the program instead to use players from the A rosters of the 30 teams. Since I use the Full minors set produced by the Community, then this would mean that the players in the draft and appearing on the 30 teams would be real players. Perhaps the program could take just the lowest 3 or 4 players from each team for this process. Just an idea.

Maybe not a feature wish but one little thing i would like seeing improved/added is in franchise on the home page it has league updates, it shows the score and the pitchers that got the W/L/S for the last games that were played.

I would like to see the top 3 hitters for each team added to the league update screen to give a better overview of each game. I don't always want to go into the box scores to see who were the top hitters in games.

Also maybe add which hitters are hot or on streaks in up coming games in the league updates box.
