One of the things I'm hoping they introduce/fix is the rotating of schedules for interleague games. Hate playing the same division multiple years.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
How about a top 10 career leaderboard for stat categories? Or a page with recent league history (champion, WS MVP, MVP, All-Stars, etc)
Also - pages that have each exclusive "club" and their stats from that year, assuming it was a single season type of deal. For example, the 40/40 club, 500 HR club, 300 Win club, etc...
And on the player cards - a list of achievements and the year it happened. For example, 7X All-Star (2010-2016), 3X Gold Glover (2012, 2014-15), 2X WS Champ (2011, 2015), No-Hitter (2011), 300K club (2011)
Something along those lines

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Id like to see better defensive AI.
I was in the bottom of the 11th (MoM) against @ Rays. 1 out, runner on 3rd. Already knowing the AI is going to bunt with Longoria, I bring my corners in. Sure enough, bunt (not very good) along the 1st base line, guy on third already breaking for home. Im thinkin oh yeah, played right into it....... nope, Napoli tags the runner going to first out and lets the walk off run score.Little league T-ball would have known to go home.
so frustrating to stay interested sometimes with stupid little things like this
Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Did Napoli think he had time to turn two? I've seen it IRL and sometimes real life decisions are as frustrating as the AI. I dont want to sound as if I'm defending the AI but rather what I would like to see out of MoM is the ability to choose what base to go first. I wouldnt micro-manage and use it everytime but I would use it in critical moments like the one above.
What's even funier is very next game, 6th inning bases loaded, napoli got a chopper to first, threw home first and Perez threw back to first smh, so it's there, the game knows, I just don't get it. I just chalked it up to Nap panicked lol. He isn't having a good season as it is, so maybe the game thought he had to much on his mind....... Ya, that's what I will go with 😂

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
All I simply ask for is NL/AL Interleague rotation. Gets old having the same schedule year in, and year out. Not facing all the teams over time, and never playing in those stadiums really stinks.

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Ever since I've started playing The Show, I've been hoping for the chance to create an expansion team and partake in an expansion draft. Something about the challenge of culling together a legitimate franchise from the spare parts of everyone else is really appealing to me. Branding/stadium customization would be nice but I'd even settle for a small pool of logos and stadiums to choose from.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Originally posted by goplen5I would agree with that. Even just a select number of cities, something like Portland, Montreal, Las Vegas, Charlotte, and maybe one other. Montreal could give you access to Olympic Stadium, and then have a few others for the other cities. Expansion would require a lot of programming though, since you would also look at a realigning of leagues. To start, I'd be happy with stadium options to move Oakland and TB. Those stadiums are awful.
The CAT options like they put into NBA2k would be wonderful. In fact I'm going to say that without it, it'll make next year very difficult for me. That is my one big thing I want to see.

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Off the top I should say that I buy the game every other year, usually, and didn't buy '16 so I'll be getting '17 regardless of the upgrades. Since I didn't get '16 I don't know about the morale system. I have never played online or DD. I love RTTS and Franchise. I love the rebuilding process.
Here is what I'd like to see:
ROSTER
1. I don't understand why a team in May sugests a trade for my CP when they have 2 in the Majors already....fix trade logic somehow.
2. Seems like more often than no all draftees start in AAA. I move mine down but some of the CPU players go from B potential to C simply because they aren't ready for AAA
3. The CPU often has 8 SP in the MLB and sometime a very good/highly rated player in the pen. Roster management logic needs a fixin
4. I agree that spring training invitees wold be cool but I am someone who simulates ST. The rotation only allows for a certain number of slots. If I have too many pitchers, the ones listed below CP don't get used. At all.
5. If a AA player is a C but is on a hot streak and I send him to A, he gets bumped to a B. I wish there were stats for A level players and development at that level.
(Like I said I don't know anything about how the morale system worked so I can't really talk about FA and such)
GAMEPLAY
1. I can't tell you how many times I've given up hits on dribblers in front of the plate. The catcher stands up, looks shocked, then breaks for the ball. It's too late. So annoying. Every game there is at least 3 dribblers, I'm certain there are several games in a row IRL that it doesn't occur.
2. I also can't tell you how many times my OF runs a long way, makes a catch, goes into the wall, resets himself, all while the runner tags and SCORES...from second base! IRL they sacrifice accuracy and strenght for getting it in quickly and often throw off their back leg. The different types of throws by infielders are cool, expand that to the OF.
3. Obvioulsy the slide rule, oversliding, more replay options and at every base, these things have been mentioned.
4. Bullpen logic from CPU is pretty bad. What is worse i slate in the game when I see the oppositing RP or even CP batting in a 1 run game. They pinch hit for the SP but seems like not for the RP's. They do the same when I simulate the next half inning...lack of pinch hitting.
5. There is a slider for wind effect but there should be better weather impact. In rain games there should be lighting and thunderstorms and also a drizzle. Maybe a rain delay that brings the tarp out like people have mentioned. Obviously, I wouldn't want to wait for real time rain delay length but the cutaways would be cool. Tiger Woods games used to have Real Time weather so it would be the actual weather where you played. That'd be cool.
6. Someone mentioned cutaways to highlights of other games. There was an early 90's Madden game that during your game would come up with a menu to offer you a chance to see the end of a close game going on at the same time. That was cool and maybe something for the playoffs since there are so many bball games but just saying I've seen it before.
FRANCHISE
1. Bring bak the option to turn on prices for tickets, parking, souveniers etc. It was cool to see exactly what effected attendance and budget.
2. I'd like to see detailed stats of managers and coaches when I'm looking to hire. Not just 4 things he affects like plate discipline but is he a veteran of the minors? Does he have a history of burning out pitchers and a quick hook? Is he not ready to be a manager? Does he make a lot of speeches etc. They should also have a morale when it comes to the front office and whether or not they get along.
3. When trading it would be cool to be able to trade with more teams but also have the option of kicking it money. IF Detroit tries to trade Cabrera this off season they will most likley have to pay part of his salary and will get more than 3 players.
4. Actually, just completely revamp the trading system. In Franchise I like bein a GM and putting the pieces together. I know people have applauded the NBA 2k series for their off the field stuff. I'd like to see a Front Office room where you can initiate trades and involve more than one team. An old NHL game had a Blackberry you could use and it would ring with offers. Maybe it shows guys together in a room on the phone calling up teams and trying to get interest in deals and really working things out rather than just instant trades or the other team waiting a day. Maybe I'm just a dork.
5. Also in Front Office room would be the scouting for the draft with a big board team needs, whether or not we could afford the signing bonus for a player etc. The draft ould use an overhaul as it seems like after the 3rd round there are no good players.
6. I know the 20-80 scale is what baseball uses but I don't know why and I think this is one thing that shouldn't be realistic. 1-100 is easy to understand and measure. Baseball should get rid of it too.
7. I want to be able to hire a player development guy, minor league managers and coaches, director of scouting, assitant GM etc and see these guy get better and leave for other jobs then I get to replace them. Maybe I have a bunch of talented young SP I want to hire a manager and pitching coach that develop pitchers. I want a player development guy that does the same.
8. I understand the difficulty with things like adding the banners to stadiums that are achieved in the game.
9. Players retire too early. Essentially at 33 or 34 these guys are done. Seems unrealistic.
10. If a team is rebuilding I'd like to see them trade older stars or good players in their final year of a contract more often. It seems like some teams are listed as rebuilding then don't trade a star and then sign him to a massive contract in the off season and delay the rebuild.
When I was a kid my brothers and I would talk about the things we'd do if we were in charge of a baseball video game. We've come a long way since Bases Loaded on NES. This game is amazing and so detailed so the things I mentioned are little and I understang that. Just small things that would make the game even better than it already is.Comment
