    Re: Informal survey

    Brian,
    I've been a member of OS for a looooong time... I try to keep myself to in check with comments that may sound flaming in nature. However, I can't in good conscience provide a response to your inquiry without calling out the elephant in the room that you didn't address in your survey.

    How important is it that SCEA fix online? Extremely. After numerous years of attempts and failures, the slump continues. Plain and simple, hire someone that can fix it or just leave it out next year. I don't expect a response as many have warned me (with a laughing tone) that my rant would fall on deaf ears.

    I'm PSN friends with some of your staff and notice you guys are big The Division fans. Imagine for a moment not being able to play it online? Not a good feeling right?

    Still love the game. I play every night and will until '17 comes out. Thank you for engaging with us, your consumers and hardcore/loyal fans.

    Respectfully.

    -Run

    Update: just noticed that patch 1.03 will attempt to address the online issues. Thank you.

      1) How important are any of these features to you?
      * Allow Dynamic Difficulty to advance multiple difficulties in 1 game. Sure.
      * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else? Yes, under game option works. But it might also be appropriate to have it tied to the D-pad or something in case a reliever or a closer takes the mound, and you need to understand what the pitcher's arsenal might be. Personally already removed "guess pitch," couldn't figure out how to remove R2 pitch, so by default that was left untouched.
      * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction? Whatever the majority wants.
      * More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones? Whatever the majority wants.
      * Bring back the dotted line display showing your pitch break after a pitch crosses the plate.
      * Tone down HR Derby power (fun vs. realism) Realism
      * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always? Give or take. I currently already use the D-pad to see the player's season average. I figured, my existing game performance is dictated by existing game stats (i.e. 1-3, 2-3, etc.). But apparently users have been vocal about having this back in. Might as well if that's usually how traditional MLB broadcast has it.
      * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look? I personally like the green circle.
      * Game watch option for RTTS. YES, for the following reason, my own quote from a different thread.

      Even though I don't play RTTS, isn't baseball a team sport with a lot of down time where a player sits from the dugout watching his teammates at the plate? If the gamer can't watch the action of his teammates, isn't the gamer missing those special moments especially if he is not involved in the play whatsoever? The RTTS player can't be the only one who's involved in exciting plays, right? You can only relish in the following moments if you are actually able to see them play out on the field, right?

      Spoiler

      * The ability to manually or automatically set the color of your controller. How?
      * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display? Runner's in Scoring Postion (RISP) - batting average for RISP. Obviously, not always, but when there is someone in scoring position. Don't need to put this in a major stat box like batting average, hr, and rbi, or obp. Maybe underneath the major stat.
      * Any other stat or OSD that was removed that you want to see again?

      2) Do you use and like any of these features?
      * Dynamic Difficulty
      * Showtime (slow down time).
      * RTTS Perks
      * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu
      * Game Log
      * Strategy Guide

      3) Finally, a very subjective question: Which 2 or 3 pitchers and hitters do you think are the best to use in-game? The worst?

      It's not my call, but I guarantee I'll be bringing each point up in wishlist discussions even if nobody else mentions them. Thank you!

      My answers in bold.

        Re: Informal survey

        @ R2 option:

        I would like the option to always hit R2 to see the pitch selection but that it be hidden normally, similar to how the strike zone display (whether to show the outline or not) is handled; it's either shown or not shown based on the user's preference in the menu options. However, it can be displayed if the user holds down the R2 button.

        To offer additional feedback, I think it'd be nice to see the player's hot zones tied to this same button as well. If I'm a hitter and I hit R2, I would be able to see both the pitcher's repertoire (and confidence!) along with my hot zones; same if I'm a pitcher...I think it'd be extremely helpful helpful if it's a 3-2 count.

        @ AVG/HR/RBI

        I would prefer to see something where it shows the player's AVG, OBP and OPS along with the HRs and RBIs. With how prevelant OBP and OPS is in the game today, I think it'd be a great addition.

        If it's the player's 2nd or 3rd AB, I think these stats should still show but maybe in a smaller font at the bottom while the top/majority of the display reflects the hitter's current day results.

        Small OSD Note

        If you've ever watched a Fox broadcast, they replace the # of pitchers with the speed of the pitch after the delivery until the pitcher steps back on the rubber for the next pitch. I'd like to see this small addition in the scorebug for those of us that like to turn as many OSDs off the screen as possible.

        Dotted Line for Pitch Break

        I don't recall this being in the game but I like to think the opposite in terms of hitting. I don't want to compare this to MVP but rather maybe "borrow" a feature they used. It was basically a gif that captured the swing when it the pitch crossed the plate and the user's timing...not sure how easily it could be implemented though.

        Nonetheless, this one could help me SO much in terms of timing and seeing where I am late/early on a pitch. The feedback of "early" or "just late" seems to occur so much but if I could see where I am in terms of that PERFECT timing, it would help immensely.

        I admit it's a bit of tangent and not really addressing the question per se but if I were to prioritize/categorize one to the other, I would prefer more feedback be given surrounding hitting vs. pitching. I think the forum shows the number of users still struggling on hitting versus pitching.

          Re: Informal survey

          1) How important are any of these features to you?

          * Allow Dynamic Difficulty to advance multiple difficulties in 1 game.
          I can see the people that use Dynamic Difficulty either loving or hating this. If it is reasonable and tied to the slider for Dynamic Difficulty I could see it being enjoyed. Hit or miss.

          * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else?
          Absolutely. I turn this off anyways as I just play RTTS as a hitter without guess pitch, but once again for the people this applies to (including me if I were to create a pitcher) this would be a great addition. More options is never a bad thing.

          * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction?
          I would suggest the up button if this is added.

          * More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones?
          As someone who tends to play with an entirely clean screen (barring the limitations that were set this year.. cough ball trail and ball halo) this does not matter to me. I can check stats after the game.

          * Bring back the dotted line display showing your pitch break after a pitch crosses the plate.
          I'm sure all the pitchers would welcome this. I'll try to limit the amount of times I'll say "more options is never a bad thing"

          * Tone down HR Derby power (fun vs. realism)
          I feel like it's fantastic this year. Maybe have Fun/Realistic as options just like choosing a closed or open roof.

          * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always?
          I like it the way it is now. Not every broadcast shows it every time and I like the direction you folks took it in this year.

          * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look?
          A percentage number, like the overalls in the radial graphs would make the most sense.

          * Game watch option for RTTS
          This is main reason I took the time to respond here. A fellow OS'er whom shares their displeasure with the removal of this feature notified me of this survey.

          HUGE MISTAKE REMOVING THIS. If I want a fast play experience I'll play online. The fact that online options have leaked into the single player experience is appalling. The only positive this new method of play has brought is that you see the catcher throw the ball back to the pitcher SOMETIMES. What was wrong with appealing to the people that want a first person experience? Or the people that like watching every pitch from the dugout or in the field?

          Even if the number of people that appealed to was small, throwing them in the trash is terrible. What about people that are new and just bought The Show 16? A new customer wanting these options only to find they never exist. That leaves a bad taste in everybody's mouth. I am quite sad to find these options gone. I actually liked how it automatically went to the play by play screen and that should atleast be an option. I get that you're trying to evolve the game but some things just don't need to be forced. Game watch should consist of:

          -The Show 16 (By all means leave this as the default. I get that the game is evolving, but this doesn't feel like baseball. That being said it is certainly good for casual players just trying to rush through some games.)
          -Classic (Automatially goes to Play by Play screen)
          -All Pitches
          -All Fielding
          -Result Play
          -Result Fielding

          See what I did there? I just added the new option as the default but left all the past options for people that actually like them.

          * The ability to manually or automatically set the color of your controller. How?
          Having this tied to selecting your favourite team/the team you're currently playing as would be a cute little touch but honestly there should be larger fish to fry...

          * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display?
          Imitating Statcast during replays would be a nice lively addition to the stale replays.

          * Any other stat or OSD that was removed that you want to see again?
          I feel like this is at a happy medium currently for the people that care about OSD.

          2) Do you use and like any of these features?

          * Dynamic Difficulty
          I do not use it but the people that do seem to enjoy it and I have nothing against it.

          * Showtime (slow down time)
          Absolutely do not use or like it. I'm quite annoyed at the current baserunning bug slowing down time during pickoff attempts. None of this is baseball. Atleast diving is possible for infielders in RTTS now, but it's still just flopping around like a fish for outfielders.. would not mind to see an automatic dive option for outfielders in RTTS honestly. It's just hopeless.

          * RTTS Perks
          See above.

          * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu
          I actually did use this after every game when Game Watch was around.. It's sorta pointless when I don't see anyone hit now though.

          * Game Log
          It's nice to see how the game writes out crazy events sometimes.

          * Strategy Guide
          I'm sure this is useful for some people learning the game of baseball.

          3) Finally, a very subjective question: Which 2 or 3 pitchers and hitters do you think are the best to use in-game? The worst?

          I am solely a RTTS player so I don't have much to say here. That being said thank you for posting this survey and thank you for listening to our answers. It is extremely admirable to see developers reaching out to their community so once again thank you.

              Re: Informal survey

              1) How important are any of these features to you?
              * Allow Dynamic Difficulty to advance multiple difficulties in 1 game.

              I don't use Dynamic Difficulty
              * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else?
              Please let us remove this with an option. I don't need to be reminded that R2 shows the pitches and confidence, although I'm really glad that the reminder is there instead of all the pitches and their info.
              * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction?
              * More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones?

              I like the quick subs and quick shifts directions, so don't get rid of those. I think a lot more information could be added to the left button. Right now it shows the attributes of who's due up and some basic pitching info. Lots of space to expand on something.
              * Bring back the dotted line display showing your pitch break after a pitch crosses the plate.
              I don't need this.
              * Tone down HR Derby power (fun vs. realism)
              Fun is fun. Although, maybe a pre-derby option of fun vs real?
              * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always?
              Yes, and always. I don't recall how it is now, but with 0-1, 1-1, 0-2, etc. displays, have it underneath if it isn't already.
              * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look?
              Player energy no, pitcher energy yes. I remember a while ago that there was supposed to be a tick added to the energy bar when it got to the point where the pitcher began to really lose his stuff. Maybe change the color of the new circle to yellow what fatigue starts setting in and red when you really should take him out.
              * Game watch option for RTTS
              Not for me, but for people who want it.
              * The ability to manually or automatically set the color of your controller. How?
              Maybe it should be based on the team you are using/playing for.
              * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display?

              I'm all for Sabermetrics as along as you put a description on each one like 2K does. Tell me what Iso Power is so I don't have to keep looking it up.

              2) Do you use and like any of these features?
              * Dynamic DifficultyNo
              * Showtime (slow down time)Yes
              * RTTS PerksYes
              * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menuIf I could get to it easier, I would use it more.
              * Game LogSometimes
              * Strategy GuideI always forget about this and don't read it. I need to remember.

              3) Finally, a very subjective question: Which 2 or 3 pitchers and hitters do you think are the best to use in-game? The worst? Right now, I rake with Cano and suck with Molina and Marp. As for pitchers, I'm terrible with Carlos Martinez and dominate with Wacha against the computer. In DD, it doesn't matter as long as they have movement or a good change.

                * Allow Dynamic Difficulty to advance multiple difficulties in 1 game.
                Sure, I could see people who use this liking it
                * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else?
                Very important to me. Would be great to remove, and could just be added to options screen?
                * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction?
                Pretty important. Left?
                * More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones?
                More stats the better. BB, K, AVG, OBP, OPS vs RHP/LHP. Different splits like Home/Away, RISP or not, etc. Also overall stats including advanced stats. Could be right on d-pad?
                * Bring back the dotted line display showing your pitch break after a pitch crosses the plate.
                Not very important, but I did like it.
                * Tone down HR Derby power (fun vs. realism)
                Important. I would turn it down a bit but not too much. More realism though.
                * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always?
                Really important to me, I personally hate AVG, but I understand it's a populat traditional stat. I think OBP and is more important and could replace AVG. I'd like to see OBP/HR/OPS. I do like it switching around to different stats each plate appearance though.
                * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look?
                Pretty important, I've noticed it being hard to find/read when I've needed it recently. I would use a number or bar for energy on the screen.
                * Game watch option for RTTS
                Pretty important, I would like to see this again.
                * The ability to manually or automatically set the color of your controller. How?
                Would be cool, but not very important. Could be the team your playing as, or if in the menus of franchise/rtts the team your controlling or playing for. In main menu, favorite team.
                * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display?
                Yes, please! Very important to me. A lot. I haven't started my franchise yet this year but I know all of these aren't in the game yet: wRC+ (really, really important to me. Best stat in baseball IMO), OPS+, wOBA. Also statcast stats would be cool to add, and would be nice display to add to replay.
                * Any other stat or OSD that was removed that you want to see again?
                Can't think of anything now. I don't remember if it's in the game/has been in the game, but an attendance display in the 7th or 8th inning would be cool.
                2) Do you use and like any of these features?
                * Dynamic Difficulty
                No, but great idea.
                * Showtime (slow down time)
                Haven't used it yet, but I might try it.
                * RTTS Perks
                Don't know yet
                * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu
                Yes, it's good, could be expanded a bit more?
                * Game Log
                Yes, I like these a lot. Use them all the time during/after games.
                * Strategy Guide
                I'm not sure

                3) Finally, a very subjective question: Which 2 or 3 pitchers and hitters do you think are the best to use in-game? The worst?
                Pitchers: Kershaw, Neshek, Cueto
                Hitters: Votto, Lindor, Matt Carpenter

                  - Not important to me

                  * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else?

                  - Yes, via game option is fine

                  * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction?

                  - Yes, I have no directional preference

                  * More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones?

                  - Yes, pitch ratings/speeds and pertinent matchup stats (like AB history, etc)

                  * Bring back the dotted line display showing your pitch break after a pitch crosses the plate.

                  - Not particularly important to me

                  * Tone down HR Derby power (fun vs. realism)

                  - Not particularly important to me

                  * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always?

                  - Yes, always (Prominent for the first AB with matchup or current streak smaller below it. But after first AB, I'd like it to be small below the in-game stats). Also, if OBP and maybe SBs could pop up as well, that would be cool.

                  * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look?

                  - Maybe sharpen and deepen the colors?

                  * Game watch option for RTTS

                  - Not particularly important to me

                  * The ability to manually or automatically set the color of your controller. How?

                  - Not really important to me, but any option would be cool

                  * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display?

                  - Really, the more the better as far as I'm concerned. More splits would be nice, in particular.

                  * Any other stat or OSD that was removed that you want to see again?

                  - I would like to see SB/CS show up for speedy guys each time they get on base as the lead runner.

                  2) Do you use and like any of these features?
                  * Dynamic Difficulty- Not really
                  * Showtime (slow down time)- Not yet, but I might when I check RTTS
                  * RTTS Perks- Same as above
                  * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu- Yes
                  * Game Log- Yes
                  * Strategy Guide- I don't use it often, but I like that it's there to reference

                  3) Finally, a very subjective question: Which 2 or 3 pitchers and hitters do you think are the best to use in-game? The worst? No one jumps to mind so far this year, though last year I seemed to hit everything with Hanley Ramirez and couldn't hit for crap with Sandoval (the latter turning out to be all to realistic ). I also struggle using pitchers who have long or hitching windups (analog pitching).

                  It's not my call, but I guarantee I'll be bringing each point up in wishlist discussions even if nobody else mentions them. Thank you!

                    Re: Informal survey

                    1. Very important:AVG/HR/RBI batter walk-up display. Pitcher/Batter analysis on D-pad. I would like to see the pitcher current strikeout's in the analysis.

                    2. I use Pitcher/Batter analysis menu & Game log

                    3. Freddie Freeman, A.J. Pierzyski and CP Kimbrel, I can play with them very well

                    Thanks SCEA for checking our pulse.

                      Informal survey

                      About the R2 pitch OSD reminder, could you guys please also consider this option for pitching.

                        Re: Informal survey

                        How's it going B Ma!

                        1) How important are any of these features to you?

                        * Allow Dynamic Difficulty to advance multiple difficulties in 1 game.

                        Would be nice, but not essential

                        * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else?

                        I'm assuming you mean separately for the pitcher and batter since an option already exists to completely disable it, but yes, an option for that would be nice

                        * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction?

                        Would definitely like this. I think it could replace D-Pad right since that just goes to a chart-less breakdown of a pitcher's performance

                        * More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones?

                        Interested. Walks and K's on D-pad left like we used to have instead of balls and strikes, if you have to make a choice.

                        * Bring back the dotted line display showing your pitch break after a pitch crosses the plate.

                        No preference.

                        * Tone down HR Derby power (fun vs. realism)

                        Doesn't matter to me as I almost never play HRD

                        * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always?

                        Below the current game display (1-3, Single, RBI - you know, that one). I don't think it needs to be constantly on screen (or if it is, option!)

                        * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look?

                        Personally I don't have any trouble reading the radials, but I know I'm in the minority there.

                        * Game watch option for RTTS

                        Probably my top priority on this list. The choices we had before.

                        * The ability to manually or automatically set the color of your controller. How?

                        We're talking about the controller light bar and the corresponding fielding halo here I'm guessing? Not a high priority.

                        * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display?

                        I'll leave this one to the SABR folks.

                        * Any other stat or OSD that was removed that you want to see again?

                        Can't think of anything. Will edit if I come up with something.

                        2) Do you use and like any of these features?

                        * Dynamic Difficulty - Yes, love it, as long as it gets fixed for RTTS batting

                        * Showtime (slow down time) - Used all of them. The fielding is a unique new input control and the runner slowing down time doesn't seem too overdone. I don't care much for the batting and pitching slowdown.

                        * RTTS Perks - Haven't used.

                        * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu - I'm a stat/under the hood junkie, so I live in this screen. Still check it at least once every game, sometimes more if I feel I can pick up on a trend. This may not be the place to ask, but...what does the "Label Hit MPH" represent? The numbers are single digits and letters, so it's not just a straight rehash of the swing info display...

                        * Game Log - I use it to check umpires when I'm using Fast Play and don't get the umpire broadcast presentation

                        * Strategy Guide - The information could probably be conveyed just as easily in a forum post like last year, if it saves some space on the disk - but the guide is still MUCH more in-depth than any of the in-game tutorials. I still regularly refer to it when advising people on this forum!

                        3) Finally, a very subjective question: Which 2 or 3 pitchers and hitters do you think are the best to use in-game? The worst?

                        I believe that pitchers with the highest H/9 ratings are most effective vs the CPU in the long run, so that would mean Kershaw and Arrieta (excluding Legends, of course) .

                        For hitters, I think a mix of contact and power is important, so my choices would be Trout and Votto.

                        Low H/9 and BB/9 are a recipe for disaster, and there are too many pitchers with those qualities to name. As are hitters with low contact and low vision (I can only do so much with that Zone PCI!

                        It's not my call, but I guarantee I'll be bringing each point up in wishlist discussions even if nobody else mentions them. Thank you!

                        Thank you for the interest. Always love reading your extremely knowledgable posts!

                          1) How important are any of these features to you?
                          * Allow Dynamic Difficulty to advance multiple difficulties in 1 game.

                          It would be fine if it advanced or regressed more than 1 difficulty per game if the slider was set to an aggressive measure. More important to me would be the ability to have Dynamic Difficulty begin at a point in which I selected. So, if I wanted to start at the All-Star level and have DD work from that point, that would be ideal!

                          * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else?

                          Sure, if possible. If not in the settings, maybe by clicking something on the screen during game play.

                          * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction?

                          Yes! Whatever direction the consensus is would be fine to me, but have it in there, please.

                          * More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones?

                          The more stats, the better!

                          * Tone down HR Derby power (fun vs. realism)

                          Realism, please. It ends up taking forever to play HR Derby with the way it is now. I don't want to see guys launching 25 homers in a round. Maybe a slider for those who still wish to jack things all over the park.

                          * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always?

                          Of course! This is a no brainer, to me. It should be in there, always! Even if you want to put it in a sub-line, under a more pertinent stat for a specific at bat, that would be fine. But please always have these stats in the walkup, and make sure they are dynamic and correct up-to-the-minute.

                          * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look?

                          Yes!! This ended up being awful. It looked so pretty in the developer videos, but the functionality really lacked once we got it home on even our biggest of screens. It wasn't bad before, but an update could work if it wasn't so hard on the eyes. Just make sure the level is clear and the overall is legible.

                          * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display?

                          Sure, the more stats the merrier. However you can work them in and still have the main stat line be present. You can display during walk-ups, leader boards during the game, after a player reaches base, any place; really.

                          * Any other stat or OSD that was removed that you want to see again?

                          I just want more stats displayed at any point imaginable. Baseball is a game of stats. Whether you are seated in your living room, or at the ball park, you are constantly being bombarded with stats. Fantasy sports is a stats bases game and generates billions each year. There is no other sport that lends itself to the display and usage of statistical data more than baseball does.

                          2) Do you use and like any of these features?
                          * Dynamic Difficulty Yes, big fan of it. Use it until I find the sweet spot in my settings each year, now.

                          * Showtime (slow down time) No. It is pretty gimmicky and gets away from what I liked about this franchise in the first place, the realism factor in the game. I would maybe consider trying it in the field, but never while at bat.

                          * RTTS Perks Absolutely not! Total cheese gimmick to me. Wish I could just turn this crap off and never even see it in my game. The perks I would like to have in RTTS would be stuff like "get named team captain and get to choose the uniform we wear". Hardly any of this stuff in the game now is for a player like me.

                          * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu Sure thing. Always a handy tool to make use of.

                          * Game Log Nice to have, for sure.

                          * Strategy Guide Not really sure what this would be.

                          3) Finally, my biggest gripe right now is the fielding cameras! They pan so far away from the action and there is currently no "Low" camera angle for fielding, anymore. Maybe I notice these things more because I am a "cameraman", but each year The Show seems to have worse and worse fielding camera options. Please bring back something that is low to the ground with a tighter shot of the action. Fly balls to the outfield make the fielders look like ants. This game has all these beautiful graphics and I am stuck looking at it as if I were looking out the window of an airplane.

                          Thanks!

                            Answers in bold. Questions I’m indifferent on were removed.

                            * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else? Not a straight answer, but I would like to see more options for OSD elements, or streamline OSD elements into a pop-up menu system (see Codemasters’ F1 games) or even more contextual appearance (defensive alignment appearing only when shifted, for example).
                            * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction? More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones? Yes, please! I loved the touchpad button bringing up the pitcher/batter matchup.
                            * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always? Yes, always!
                            * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look? Color-coded arrows, a la Pro Evolution Soccer? Something other than a health bar; too accurate to be realistic
                            * Game watch option for RTTS Please, please bring it back. The options we had in The Show 14 were perfect (15 had the annoying habit of opening the simulation screen to simply show the next batter with “press X to continue” if any game watch option was enabled).

                            Do you use and like any of these features?
                            * Dynamic Difficulty Yes.
                            * Showtime (slow down time) Never.
                            * RTTS Perks Never.
                            * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu Yes!

                            * Strategy Guide Yes.

                              Kinda cool, but not important.

                              * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look?
                              Fine the way it is.
                              * Game watch option for RTTS
                              Very important. It was perfect the way it was in '15.
                              * The ability to manually or automatically set the color of your controller. How?
                              Not sure what this is in reference to.
                              * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display?
                              Would be nice, but not terribly important. Having WAR next to BA, HR, and RBI might be nice but it might be too busy. I'd have to see it.
                              * Any other stat or OSD that was removed that you want to see again?
                              Nah.

                              2) Do you use and like any of these features?
                              * Dynamic Difficulty I do not use.
                              * Showtime (slow down time) I didn't like it at first but I kinda starting liking it for tough defensive plays.
                              * RTTS Perks I do not use or pay any attention to these.
                              * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu I use it and I like it.
                              * Game Log I use it a lot and I like the way it reads in the game.
                              * Strategy Guide I do not use it.

                              3) Finally, a very subjective question: Which 2 or 3 pitchers and hitters do you think are the best to use in-game? The worst? I only ever use my own RTTS players or created players on position lock in franchise.

                              It's not my call, but I guarantee I'll be bringing each point up in wishlist discussions even if nobody else mentions them. Thank you!
                              Another important point for me is the manager hook. The manager need not pull a guy in a close game (i.e. one run) after the 6th inning just because a guy reached base.

                              My replies in red. Thanks.

                                1) How important are any of these features to you?
                                * Allow Dynamic Difficulty to advance multiple difficulties in 1 game.
                                Don't Use

                                * Way to remove R2 reminder OSD. If yes, by game option? Something else?
                                Yes, game option is great. ALSO, put this information (pitch stuff) back down in the right hand corner. It BLOCKS previous pitch displays (quite annoying).

                                * Pitcher/Batter Analysis on d-pad. Which d-pad direction?
                                YES, any information is welcome...if middle pad is brought back as a pause function, then up/down for information.

                                * More stats/information on d-pad. Which ones?
                                PITCH SPEEDS, current days results (ie, 1 for 3, or 6 IP, 3 R, etc)

                                * Bring back the dotted line display showing your pitch break after a pitch crosses the plate.
                                MY ENTIRE REASON FOR ANSWERING THIS POST...what is this? I have played this game since 2008 and do not know what this is referring to. PLEASE TELL ME...

                                * Tone down HR Derby power (fun vs. realism)
                                DON'T USE

                                * AVG/HR/RBI in batter walkup display. If yes, always?
                                YES, current day information large, avg/hr/rbi smaller (and series info under that if possible)

                                * Player energy OSD more readable. If yes, how should it look?
                                YES, percentage or fraction (such as 67/85 or 57%) OR as a bar such as previously (circle is very hard to read/see)

                                * Game watch option for RTTS
                                DON'T USE

                                * The ability to manually or automatically set the color of your controller. How?
                                NO

                                * Sabermetric or any other stats tracked/displayed. A few? A lot? Which ones? Where to display?
                                Neutral, fun to see, but don't care too much

                                * Any other stat or OSD that was removed that you want to see again?

                                YES, many:

                                1) L/R or S on pause menu lineup screen...as of now it only shows players, position and average (have to go to another screen to see)
                                2) BOTH lineups displayed on pause menu
                                3) Current stats of day for pitcher (linescore...6 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, etc.)
                                4) Team totals on stats page (why was this taken?)
                                5) MOVE pitches to lower right/left corner (where they were before last year)
                                6) BENCH (it is mysteriously gone) during a game
                                7) Not missing, but to have box score keep track of what positions played, not simply initial ones, and also INDENT SUBS one space (PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE)

                                2) Do you use and like any of these features?
                                * Dynamic Difficulty
                                * Showtime (slow down time)
                                NOT tried, but will eventually
                                * RTTS Perks

                                NOT tried, but will eventually * Pitcher/Batter Analysis menu
                                YES (yes, yes, yes)...see above
                                * Game Log
                                YES...please, for God's sake, change it to one line per batter. Just a simple new line for next batter...100% easier to read
                                * Strategy Guide
                                Know the game too well to use, but very good to have in there

                                3) Finally, a very subjective question: Which 2 or 3 pitchers and hitters do you think are the best to use in-game? The worst?
                                Good:
                                Mike Trout
                                Carlos Gonzalez
                                Tom Seaver

                                Bad:
                                Aaron Sanchez
                                Matt Holiday

                                It's not my call, but I guarantee I'll be bringing each point up in wishlist discussions even if nobody else mentions them. Thank you!
