No, that's just the default starting team alphabetically wise. Once you get past that you can L2/R2 to whatever team you want to control.

You need to go to User Settings > Game Play Options > General Settings > Advanced Settings and then you can set the Injuries to Manual.

Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control

Great guide but there is one thing I can't seem to figure out and that's CPU trade offers to my team.

I want 30 team control to maintain some control over CPU trades, but I still want the CPU to be able to offer trades to my main team that I can evaluate. I have setup two profiles, CPU where everything is auto, and "my team" where everything is manual. As a test, I simmed through the season to see what would happen. CPU teams will trade amongst themselves (which is fine) but I don't get a single trade offer from the any CPU team to my main team. I've tested this multiple times and can't figure out why the CPU teams won't offer me trades.

In a seperate test, I created a franchise with single team control and when I simmed the season I received occasional trade offers from the CPU team like I wanted.

Any help on what I'm doing wrong is appreciated.

I'm doing a 30 team control and when I went through the first year I did not receive any offers so you are not alone. I tried four times and never got one so I don't know if there is a trick to getting one. There were a handful of trades between the computer but not many. Only one trade I had to deny because Mauer for Sabathia would never happen.

One of my theories is that there is something breaking the incoming trade offers at the end of the franchise mode setup. Right before you start your franchise it goes to an options page that gives you three settings to set to auto manage or manual. This page is always the Orioles when it's on 30 team control. I can't switch to other teams. Also, once youre in your franchise you can push square on certain boxes (E.g rosters, lineup, trading block etc.) to switch between auto and manual but this changes the option for all teams regardless of whether the team is CPU or Manual association.

When I set up the 2 users like every other year this year it keeps saying all teams are manual like my main user setting even though its set for auto for the 29 other teams. When I swithc it over it keeps changing every team to my main user setting. Is this a bug or does the 30 team control not work anymore?

I am getting this as well. I'm also 12 games into the season and not a single injury. Injuries are on. No cpu has made a single roster move.

Has to be a bug. Last year this worked great, but this year it won't work.

No it does not. You can use an "auto" and "manual" profile to set it up, but once you start the Franchise, I think it only uses the default profile for all 30 teams. It ignores a 2nd profile.

If you change between auto/manual on one team, it affects the other 29 teams.

I wrote a detailed bug report on TSN, but I'm disheartened to see it buried by people complaining about stubs/cards/etc. Those are customer service problems, not bug reports. But now they've cluttered the bug reporting interface this year too.

I'm not optimistic that it will be fixed since it's not DD, and for a lot of people this is the main way they play the game.

We need to make this known as there is no way I am playing a regular franchise where every team has 15 man pitching staffs. That is a legacy issue that is clearly not getting fixed so the 30 team control work-around is a must fix in my opinion.

Hmm.. I am not seeing that. I am getting trades between the computer teams and there are players that are injured for them. I do have the issue that I will not receive a trade offer from computer, but it's usually something stupid anyway, so I will make my own trades with them.

                            It's a visual bug, ONLY.

In my franchise, I have two profiles. One for my team, the Tigers, where everything is manual, except training, and one for the other 29 teams, where everything is AUTO, except lineup and pitching rotations.

Aside from not receiving trade offers from the CPU, everything else is working properly, even though on the main screens, it shows that every team is set to "manual" (because of the default "Tigers" profile that I use) Teams are still going by their ASSIGNED profile settings.

I tested this with the injury management setting. When I switched it to AUTO, the other 29 teams were getting injuries, making DL moves, and calling up players. When I switched it to MANUAL, I was receiving notifications for all the CPU teams, and had to make the roster and DL moves. When set to MLB ONLY, I was only receiving notifications for MLB injuries. All minor league DL and roster moves were made by the CPU.

That's good to hear it's only a visual bug. I'll try to play around with it more.

I'm almost a month into my season and non of the CPU teams have a single injury. I'm going to have to dig deeper into this.
