I feel stupid asking but i can't find the answers anywhere. I currently play 08 the show on PS2 (Old school i know lol) So my question is can i still do 30 team control on the PS2 by doing the profiles? Or if not when does the 30 team control start? What year did the 30 team control exhist? MLB 10 the show? 11? 12?

Any help is appreciated thanks!

I'll admit that I'm new to the The Show but I'm having a hard time figuring this out for the 18 edition. I don't even see an option to create a new profile, let alone assign one for the rest of the teams in the franchise. Could anybody help me out with what I'm missing?


EDIT: I think I figured the profile creation out, but I don't know if that will fix the issuing I'm having with assigning a CPU profile to the other 29 teams

Assigning profiles to the CPU teams should be in the user settings under “team association”, or something like that. Then you assign the CPU teams the profile you aren’t using (or a custom one with its own settings).

When I get the game on Monday (damn you snow!!!), I may do an updated video to show all of those who are new to the game how it’s done.

I think it's mostly for keeping rosters for all teams as accurate as possible.
You can handle all transactions (trades, injuries etc.) for all teams.

If you set it up this way, do you control who the computer calls up and sends down or the lineups and pitching rotations for each team?

If you set the profile for the computer run teams to manual, you'll be able to control these and will be prompted if there is an error in the lineup (like a player is injured and you have an invalid line up). You can have much control or leave the CPU to do most of the work but just veto trades, however you see fit to run your game.

Update: I figured it out. Just chalk it up to me trying to figure it out at 1:30 in the morning, although it's not exactly intuitive

Anyone get the 30 team control to work for '17? I have tried 4 or 5 times yesterday to get it to work but couldn't get the 2 profiles to work. So I would set my team to Player, then set 29 teams to CPU. When I go and look at each team it is either under Player or CPU including my team. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

This didn't work for me. I think it's treating whatever User settings I have set as default as supreme. Further, when setting up a franchise it asks you to decide what is auto vs manual, and this seems to over-ride the custom settings as well.

Did anyone get this to work and can explain how?
