Does not work for me the Current Default overrides the team file associations even if I follow the steps.

Then you aren't doing something correctly. Because it does work. Either you are missing a step, or are adding a step, or aren't setting the profiles for your team, one profile for all the other teams.

I have TWO profiles that I made. One is TIGERS that I use for the Detroit Tigers. The other is "OTHER TEAMS" that I set for the other 29 teams.

For the "TIGERS" profile I have everything set to manual, except scouting.

For "OTHER TEAMS" I have everything on AUTO, except Lineups/Rotations, Injury Management, and Free Agency.

I have "TIGERS" assigned to the Tigers, and "OTHER TEAMS" assigned to the other 29 teams.

It works perfectly.

For those of you doing 30 team control to keep the teams roster realistic...how do you deal with scouting and the draft with ransoms??

For the life of me I can not get this to work this year every other year fine I have 2 profiles one has trades on Manuel rest on auto and mine which has all but scouting on Manuel but even when I trade with another team to mine if the screen says they should be getting more it doesn't give me the option to accept it

I have done this and it doesn’t stick. Everything goes to Current Default. I can change Default and that sticks on ALL but no team specific settings work. I have created 2 new profiles at least ten times and each time they don’t stick on different teams. I can only get one to work across all by setting it to Default.

That is correct it does do what you are describing. However what is in the file settings Association menu is what actually sticks. Prime example turn your team scouting to manual and turn all the CPU team scouting to auto simulate about half the season or or or up into the draft and then check the CPU team scouting they will have scouted players while you as the user have not. Again to reiterate the blade that is in franchise mode which shows you all the options will show whatever your actual profile is for every team but that is just a visual it works off of the file setting Association. I would do another live stream talking about this

This is 100% correct. Whatever profile you have set as Default (Mine is called "TIGERS" will seem to show for every team, as you scroll through the team pages (by hitting R2 or L2).

HOWEVER, these are NOT the settings those teams use.

Those teams will use the settings of the profile they have assigned to them under the settings association.

It looks like it doesn't work on the main pages.....but it DOES in fact work properly.

Yes, you can change the profile associated with any team at any point

30 team control does not work
This year how it’s suppose to. It won’t let me do trades it now says “we don’t think we are getting enough for that deal” what is the point of 30 task control when the cpu is saying if a trade is fair or not ! It’s pissing me off

i don't have 18 but in 17 i get this all the time ('we don't think we are getting enough for that deal'). Then I submit the trade anyway. So did they change it so that you have to give the CPU what they want (that is what it sounds like from the posts I've read of yours)? At least in 17, it made no difference if I saw that message from one of the sides, I just submitted, then scrolled over to the other team, and accepted the trade. However if you set the trades to 'auto' for the CPU I would assume they could reject a trade like that. Like I said, I don't have 18 so I can't speak to changes from last year, but the message that they don't think this is fair has never stopped me from controlling trades in the previous versions.

No, they may not be pleased but like trying to get I think it was Holland to the Giants if you need to move some D rated minor leaguer to make it happen they won't be pleased, but it doesn't matter, you control all those transactions: hit submit trade (or whatever the option is). Then scroll to the other team, go to Transactions and use the RB/LB to scroll to trades offered and it should be there. As the new team you can review the trade accept or reject. Again, at least that is how it worked in 17, 16 and 15. Please try it.

You need to ensure (Force trades: is set to On)
WHEN SETTING UP FRANCHISE. I DO not believe it is accessible after a franchise has been started

No, you don't need Force Trades on when using 30 team control.

It doesn't seem to be working correctly, but there is a way around it.

Lets say you want to get Manny Machado of the Orioles to your team.
Instead of offering a trade from your team to the Orioles, control the Orioles, and offer the trade to YOUR team. It will go through then.

Basically if you make what you feel is a fair offer to another team, but they don't agree because "they feel they should get more value" then go to that team's screen, and offer the same trade to "your" team. It will be accepted...

No that doesn’t make a difference either I tried that before the other team still say it’s not fair I ended up having to give up a fake player lucky was a top 50 prospect.

I’m someone that updated franchise players at the same time as playing then waiting around for rosters I take videos of players and add them to game as I go . So this is a pain in the arse
