    It's the truth though.

I have been around enough gaming boards to know that tons of people just cannot see framerate fluctuations as well as others, if at all. And there are those who notice slight spikes and drops, and find it extremely jarring.

I also know it's hard to believe when you see stutter or other such issues that other people on a PS4 with the same program don't have the issue, but that seems to be the case.

There are a lot of issues everyone has, and those are easier for the developer to reproduce and fix. No one is saying you don't have the problem. Some people are just saying they don't. So something is different.
I think there's literally zero chance this is some case where some people are "having" the issue and some are not; I think it's very much the case that some people are "seeing" the issue and some are not. Distinct difference. The facts as I see them are as follows: - A certain group of people are expecting a locked 60fps. - Game has frequent framerate drops into the 40s and 30s. People hear "game is unplayable with these framerate drops" and think that means single-digit stuttering or something, so they're all "wtf? not in my game" and you get this "it's different for different people" thing cropping up. A host of people (maybe even a majority) aren't even going to notice the drops, and for good reason: they're almost completely irrelevant to the experience (imo) and if you're using words like "unplayable" to describe them you're beating the hyperbole drum like an imbecile (or, to be fair, it really might be something serious like your PS4 is dying if you're experiencing drops that make the game literally unplayable). In short: the game is not running at a locked 60fps; those who claim it is (i.e., "smooth as butter for me") are simply not that sensitive to framerate, and good for them. But from where I'm sitting it never dips much below 30 if at all. The "these framerate drops are intolerable" crowd needs to play a game with real framerate issues, because The Show isn't one of them.

Re: So the framerate is still bad...

I rarely have an issue in game play, but, it has happened. I do have frame rate issues in most cut scenes. Personally I don't get it. It shouldn't be happening at all. This years game is a lot worse than any other year I have been playing. Seems to me they should be fixing that before they add new modes or add in arcadey (is that how it should be spelled???) new stuff...lol.

I love the game, but, the frame rate issues are jarring even if they rarely happen during actual gameplay.

Acting like only some people are experiencing them while others aren't has something to do with what the user is specifically doing doesn't make much sense. Some people experience glitches and problems with the game others don't. Pretty sure that is why people who are experiencing it get irritated with how some people are going about this. This is PS4...the whole point of consoles is you don't have to do anything special to play them. That is for computer people.

I play a ton of games and other than the Witcher this game has the worst frame rate of any game I have played. It's just not cool. If it's the crowd causing it let me turn them off. I would rather the game ran as perfectly and smoothly as possible.

I couldn't find a time table on when these problems would get fixed anywhere so I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this.
It is so bad for me, I went back to '15. I gave up on '16 after 5 updates, what a shame.

Baseball is a game about timing and pinpoint precision. When I stated that the game is unplayable, I meant that the framerate happens a lot of times when the pitcher is pitching and it throws off my timing. That to me, makes it unplayable because it affects the gameplay and my hitting ability.

While the problem is that for what ever reason some people are not having framerate issues and some are. Out side of cutscenes I have never had a single framerate issues in any show game and I have even tried playing in a few stadiums where people say they see it a lot and I still get none. I don't know why some people get framerate issues and why some don't. But it is not a wide spread major issue because if it was you would see complaints about it in reviews from websites. When games don't run well you see that talked about in reviews and this game you never seen reviews saying the game has a bad framerate and that it is not smooth or any thing like that.

To go with that back when the game batman arkham origins came out ever one said it was a bug filled game yet I only had like 2 or 3 bugs ever and they where all small bugs that have only happened a few times each in like 100 hours of playing the game. So for what ever reason I didn't have the same bugs even though I had the same game and same system. I don't get why some people have bugs that other people don't have but it is what it is. Because I have never seen a framerate issue and because reviews don't say the game runs bad or any thing it makes it hard for me to even believe that there really is some sort of framerate issue when there is nothing to really back that up.

Okay so then why am I getting frame rate issues? What's wrong with my PlayStation 4? I have the Star Wars Darth Vadar version if that means anything The only game installed on my hard drive is MLB the Show 16 and the digital Star Wars games that came with the system so I have a ton of storage open.

Exactly the same here. Would I buy '16 if I had known this would happen? Absolutely NOT!

That is really great for you..... It's no different than some having a glitch and others not. You are not adding anything helpful, only calling others who are having the problem liars?!?!?!
If you don't have the problem move on. It doesn't affect you and you can only piss off people who do have it. If the "I have the same hardware argument" held any water at all everyone would have the exact same problems all the time..........which they don't.

That is the question. It is apparent this isn't just "some people notice it and others don't" - I'm pretty picky about framerate issues and if, while batting or pitching I had ANY framerate glitch, I'd notice it and it would bug the crap out of me.

Sounds like one thing we can rule out is storage, based on your feedback. If you're not playing an online game, maybe disconnect the internet connection from your PS4 and see if that makes a difference.

There are framerate issues in a lot of spots in the game, the reliever entry screen, panning over several fans in certain parks (Rogers for one), and actually, I've seen screen tearing on Dexter Fowler's bat in the Rogers Centre as well.

However, when it comes to hitting and pitching the ball, I've noticed nothing. There was a slight hitch a couple of times, and I thought the old PS3 hiccup was coming back, but after I restarted the machine, it was smooth.

How long do you play? Because on the PS3 when I would notice what you're talking about, it was either something that could be fixed by a reboot or something that came about after many hours of playing. Check the ambient temp around the machine, because that can be a big deal. It gets rid of heat very well, which means you need it to be open and cool around the machine. It will heat up my bedroom by itself, that much heat coming off.

Here is a vid of my latest game that I had issues with frame rate or stuttering or whatever you want to call it. You will also get to see what I have to do in order for the swing/timing info to show up. Forgive my swinging at a lot of bad pitches as I am grinding with the Dodgers and just trying to get the game over with and wanted to show frame rate issues. Start the vid at 3 min in if you don't want to see me playing the market as I am also feeding the Rockies lol. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/oEFCsCPZUk8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
