I have noticed a frame rate drop in specific areas after adding sots. Specifically, when I strike out a cpu batter. Right before he swings at strike 3 there is a major frame rate drop as I believe the game is trying to load my strikeout clip from the sots file I saved for strikeouts.

I think you're onto something here. I would hate to delete all of my SotS content but I'm really starting to believe this is an issue.

SoTS causes hitching while queuing up sounds from the Hard Drive.Hitching is worse than frame drops because instead of performance dropping it's coming to a complete stop. It's possible to fix or lessen by installing a better hard drive but I haven't tried to yet.

That issue is independant of the framerate issues that plague the game, though. There is still some really awful performance that is just caused by an unoptimized game.

Well said. I would also note you may not have to abandon all sots files. I still have sots files for walk-ups and between innings and it doesn't "hitch" during gameplay. Or at least that I can notice.

I do notice the hitching when using Sounds of the Show, but I've decided that Sounds of the Show is worth it to me.

I also use an aftermarket hard drive, not the stock drive, so maybe it performs better. I don't know.

Oksy so I feel the need to apologize but then again, no one suggested doing what I did so I don't feel as bad. I simply enabled game mode on my TV and the problem went away instantly. I've then switched back off game mode to confirm this was the fix for the issue and the problem returned so I put it back on game mode and it went away.

I have a Vizio M-55 C2 and so anyone with a similar TV or experiencing frame rate issues, just make sure you have game mode enabled. I really wish I would have tried this first because deleting the game and reinstalling it caused me to lose data but hey, live and learn. The swing/timing info glitch is still there but the frame rate problem bugged me way more so at least I fixed that problem.
