Yep I had fenways sliders loaded the whole time but switched em to Mikey's and 2 perfect innings as an all star for your barons

For me, the best challenge as a power hitter is to be a corner outfielder or 1B. You have to really earn a call up. That's why I went as a LF/RF, and it's been fun so far.

Also, I found it VERY difficult to field in the OF in previous versions of the Show--not this year though. It's one of the biggest improvements to the game IMO, and playing the OF has been a ton of fun. I have not misread a single ball yet as the new camera that's used is a perfect line of sight.

Do you find playing the OF to be entertaining defensively? I'm imagining shagging fly ball after fly ball would get repetitive. The infield seems more engaging. But as I've said, I have very little experience.

That's odd because I'm the complete opposite, I found it quite easy to field in the outfield in past games but this year, with albeit a small sample size, I thought the new camera made it harder to judge the flight of the ball and I misplayed it a lot more

            So I decided to make a 3B.

            Jordan Brown
            22
            5'10 210
            3B
            R/R
Drafted 28th in the 2nd round by the Kansas City Royals

I'm blocked by Hunter Dozier currently. He's 25 with an A potential playing AAA ball. I'll stick it out at 3B for a while and see how the Royals handle it. If the time comes to where I feel like I should be on a big league club but they decide to stick with Dozier, I'll ask to be traded.

So my first start was a rough one, I gave up 5 runs in 5 innings work on 8 hits, 3 of which were long balls.

But my second was start was much better, I got player of the game going 7.2 innings allowing only 5 hits with 2 walks and the only run came after a 3 base error

So after one terrible outing and one good one I'm excited to see how this progresses

12 games into the season: .255/.300/.702 7 HR, 12 RBI

So far I'm all power. As that slash line shows. I have 12 hits and 7 HR...hopefully this is just a sample size thing because Im using Mike Lowe's sliders and playing on HoF. I'll update after another 10 games or so and see if that SLG comes back to earth.

                      DUANE SHELTON

In the first month of his career he made 4 starts going 2-1 and after a rough first outing he turned things around to look to prove he belongs higher up the in the Tigers depth charts

The stat line in the picture is from his 3rd start and it's going to be tough to replicate something like that again

                      Stats as of 4/30
                      W-L 2-1
                      IP 26.2
                      K's 32
                      ERA 2.36
                      WHIP 1.01

He will need to improve his slider as he moves up the levels but at the moment the hard fastball-changeup combo has worked well for him

So I'm having fun with this, the power leveled out nicely. My only concern: I've missed about 25 games to injury in the first 3 months of the season. Is this normal? Am I getting unlucky? Do you have to sink a ton of points in durability? Is this a slider issue? Sorry for all the questions but any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

I think the injury slider is way too high at 8, I'm bumped mine back to default

Yeah, I enjoy the peacefulness of it. It's also much more than flyballs. It really allows you to decide whether to work on your arm or not, and if your reaction rating is too low, you won't see the halo until after a significant delay. However, enough time and practice will have you fielding by manually reading the ball off the bat. I love the challenge of it all, and sometimes that challenge is forcing yourself to stay focused through the repetitiveness, as that's when a diving catch will sneak up on you.

Getting it started up later tonight.

Am I getting unlucky? Do you have to sink a ton of points in durability? Is this a slider issue? Sorry for all the questions but any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
You'll definitely need to sink points into durability as it not only affects injuries, but you'll be sitting out a ton if you don't raise it.

The default injury slider is wayyyy off compared to real life MLB. It's better in this year's Show--last year I found through testing the slider needed to be at 9--but it's still at 8 after the same testing this year.

Also what makes this challenge more, well, challenging!
