Going to continue what Rick Hahn started and keep rebuilding my White Sox. I kinda hope Quintana is dealt before the season because I don't think the game will allow for the type of deal it will take. Only 3 player slots and an unwillingness of the AI to deal a bluechip prospect.

I feel like the Jays are an interesting rebuild candidate. A solid team right now that can quickly head downhill with age/free agents.

Some pretty good trade chips(Donaldson in particular) if you wanted to go down that route and not much in the way of top flight prospects.

I am doing one now in 16' before 17' comes out and its been fun trading away or letting the veterans walk and trying to rebuild them to contend. Not a true rebuild team but probably will be in a few years.

My best rebuild so far is the one that I will carry into MLB 17. Two years ago, when Greinke left the Dodgers, I decided to send the Mariners into rebuild mode right then (which is what I think they should have done in real life), and managed to get a lot of prospects from different teams before they hit the majors. My big trades...

- In multiple trades to allow more players, I sent King Felix, Marte, Wilhelmson, and Leonys Martin to the Dodgers for Seager, Pederson, and Urias.
- Cano + a few smaller pieces to Arizona for Swanson, Bradley, someone on high salary
- Iwakuma + RP to the Pirates for Taillon and McGuire
- Brought back Carson Smith
- Traded DJ Peterson and others for Freddie Freeman

Then, at the trade deadline:
- Sent Cruz and a pitcher to the Mets for Syndergaard (still a prospect at the time)
- Forrest Wall from Rockies

Then the next offseason:
- Sent Kyle Seager and others to the Marlins for Stanton and Carter Capps (separate trades so more players could be involved)

Moved Corey Seager to 3B, Swanson called up to play SS

Rotation was Thor, Paxton, Walker, Taillon, Urias
Lineup was Wall, Seager, Joc, Stanton, Freeman, Vogelbach, Zunino, Alex Jackson, Swanson

First year, made the ALCS. Thor, Paxton, Walker all had sub-3.00 ERA's, Thor won the CY Young, Joc hit 41 homeruns. Back end of my bullpen with Storen, Smith, Furbush, and Capps had an ERA of 2.03. Payroll sat around $60M.

Now, gearing up for the 2018 offseason, where I'm going to add Harper and shift Stanton to LF.

Did something very similar to this recently in a White Sox franchise. I got a lot from the Dodgers in 2 separate deals for Nate Jones and Jose Quintana. A combo of Bellinger, Urias (can't remember if he was in a deal), Buehler, Verdugo and a couple more guys which made it a 2 for 6 swap. In a Robertson deal, I traded him to the Nats for Carter Kieboom, Stevenson and I think Severino (not too crazy with a good first half from Robertson). Another deal was Frazier for Conforto and a pitching prospect (forgot who). It sucks though because it's really easy to take advantage of the computer in these games. I try to keep them as real as possible but kinda said f*ck it in this franchise and didn't care.

jeez, almost a whole different team. i have a Mariners franchise going as well right now. and basically in the first year, was I moved Guiterrez, Iwakuma, Cishek and the first base rookie(cant think of his name at the moment). i just cleaned up the back of the bullpen and got a right handed bat in Chris Carter to platoon first base. and i drafted a few really good starting pitchers for next year, but im in the World Series right now beating the Royals in the DS and Red Sox in the CS. i am vs Mets now.

I kind of made my own rebuild team recently.
I picked the 'Stros, I love their field and unis. I traded away mostly everyone, traded top prospects for lesser prospects. You will have to just give up players as the Astros have a pretty good team, I also have my own budget and won't go over a certain amount.
You can obviously do this with any team.

The Brewers should be a fun starting point for a rebuild. They've got one of the top, if not the top, farm system in the game. Might be fun to play through a year or two, see who develops, and try to sign and trade for the right free agents to get them a World Series win.

Padres if you wait for OSFM and play multiple seasons. Not much MLB ready talent but loaded in the A ball ranks. Will be interested in seeing how many of the lower level players are included this year in OSFM.

As a Yankees fan I'll be completing the youth movement after waiting for the OSFM roster to come out. I'll ship out all the old guys besides Gardner. Might try Castro at third so I can bring Torres up to play 2nd asap.

Until the rosters are ready my friend and I will be playing a franchise with randomly selected teams from a randomly selected division. He has the Cardinals and I have the Brewers. At first I wasn't too pumped but they actually have some young talent that I like. I'll try to get a few pitchers that I like to fill out the team but I'll try to do that without giving up Ryan Braun hopefully since he's my boy.

IRL they figure to be the most improved team in MLB. If the Inciarte/Swanson for Miller trade happened in the show it would be rejected for being too lopsided.

Always a phillies rebuild, but fail so bad. They have pitching, but no hitters. Best hitter came from a rule 5 draft.

i think im deciding on the Angels. the 3 18 year old pitching specs they have excite me and im gonna try and get Pujols the all time HR mark. see what i can do with Trout or give him up for 3 studs
