THIS GAME HAS THIS!!! I am seriously so stoked!

EDIT: Oh, I didn't mention I couldn't make that post because my laptop did an automatic restart for updates. I hate it when I lose everything like that!
I wonder if every stadium will have "Stadium tagging" this year? I asked in the chat but I guess the devs didn't see it. Like someone else said the chat was moving real fast.

Haven't finished watching yet but in one of the early videos they played, they had a player hit a HR and Matt Vasgersian sounds stale and without any emotion at all.

I'm guessing they all will, though some might be more restrictive to just "stands, bullpen, second deck," etc. just because there are some places a ball simply can't land.

I'll have to check and see if "concourse, facade, batter's eye," etc. were things to look for in tagging. I am beyond stoked about this feature though. Hopefully it continues into replay a bit (that's what ESPN MLB did at least).

Kirby tried to keep the stream on topic, definitely not disappointed in his attempts. But I guess he does not have a high enough pay grade to prevent the stream hijack.

I will just have to wait until the 28th to see and hear the rest of what Kirby wanted to show us, but couldn't.
Agreed. Was going very smoothly and I was learning things about the game that I never knew, and then chaos ensued and it turned into a jumbled mess.

I like Ramone, but this stream was going just fine without him.

I must have missed that. At what point in the video was that?

I loved all the presentation stuff and had a big smile on my face with how the game looked and moved more smoothly. My hope one day, looking at how much better commentary got, is SDS implements spanish commentary. I know that would be so much work, but a wish nonetheless. The game does look better visually, enough for a purchase for me right now!

At the very end of the stream. Kirby talked about the presentation and commentary changes to the game once each game ends. He even said "We never got a chance to show you this". Of course I'm paraphrasing his words, his exact words may be slightly different. But that was what he was alluding to. He never got to show us all the presentation and commentary changes he wanted to show us.

I'm unsure how much of it was the stream but the game appeared glitchy in some spots. I realize it is a WIP and may just be the stream and not the actual game its self but some of the check swings looked awkward. A couple of the animations didn't look too smooth and neither did some of the swings.

                        A couple of thoughts:

I love the MLB Network overlays; I hope Kirby continues to expand that next year with additional presentations.

                        Foul ball replay!

It's small but I'd love to see no cut-scenes when the catcher is throwing the ball back to the pitcher; both after a take/swing and foul ball. Just stay in the same camera from start to finish...kind of like real-time view.

I LOVE the additional catcher setups. Gosh, it adds so much realism.

HR and Plesac actually sound really good; I do feel there still is a bit much in dead air but I'll guess more lines next year will help with that. I do wish Matty was a bit more personable and talking with the commentators...I'd like to hear more dialog versus just Q:A or single comment types.

The Dodgers were 93-27 which equates out to 118 wins over the entire season when Kirby was showing the season calendar. The OS hybrid rosters can mitigate that with rating adjustments but still...yikes!

Besides Matty V being boring and sounding exactly the same as in 16,15,14,13,12 and so on the "dead air" is real issue as well. To many times it is dead silent when the commentary should be talking about something. NBA2k and even MLB 2K did this so well! Both those game have almost constant chatter back and forth from the booth!

What I would love to know is it what version of MLB The Show will the commentary reach the level of NBA 2K or even Madden for that matter?

I'll give you another bad example!

At the start of the game in today's stream why didn't Matty V introduce himself and the other two commentators at the start of the broadcast? This is how it is always done on real baseball broadcasts!

Matty V should have said something like this

"Good evening everyone I am Matt Vasgersian along with my partners Harold Reynolds and Dan plesac"

I have a Franchise/gameplay prediction. I think we are now going to be able to see career stats player v player. Last stream Ramone said do not press left or right on the D-Pad and this stream we got the commentary with history vs this pitcher etc. I think when you press left or right on the D-Pad you are going to get some of these historical stats. Maybe Darren O'Day is a great pitcher but when you look at the historic stats in game you realize you shouldn't bring him in vs Bautista because of the lifetime stats. Just a prediction and might not actually be true but with these pieces of info from the last two streams I could (hope to) see this coming!!
