You can now use the Rangers home white and get a red batting helmet. The under shirt is still blue, but I'm super satisfied for now. Thank you MLB the Show!

If this was in previous versions I never noticed it but I took off from first on a steal and as the pitcher released the pitch you can hear the infielders yelling out "He's going, he's going!!" to alert the catcher to throw to second.

Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread

So because I cannot hit at all, I just played a 28 inning game. I won in a walkoff. The cool thing was that the game started at 1 pm. By the end of the game, it was pitch black. I had heard that it could transition from afternoon to night, but this is the first time I've ever seen it.

The time of the game was announced as 2 hours and 43 minutes, so I think I somehow managed to break the algorithm they use to calculate game time.

I know it was spot lighted in one of the SDS Twitch streams, but to see in action during a game without having to zoom my camera on it was simply too cool. And that is, during my first game in MLB The Show 17, while playing as the Red Sox vs. the Tigers in June, one of my hitter's was at the plate and I could clearly see sweat dripping down his head and face. Nice detail! Hot summer baseball.

Woke up at 4 AM to get some game time in. Love the look and feel of the game, seems the same but finely tuned. Obviously gonna take some time to lock down my sliders but my first game was very enjoyable, right up until it froze in the bottom of the 9th. Not overly panicked about it, just an exhibition game, looking forward to playing some more when I'm off work. I'll concur the commentary is definitely improved!

They have David Ortiz's retired number even though that isn't happening in real life until June! I thought I'd have to wait until 18!

Love the added commentary on foul balls (with HR or Plesac occasionally contributing something). Less dead air is a good thing.

Facing King Felix with Texas. I can't remember the batters but one of my batters was walked on a 3-2 count. The next batter I take a strike, then watch 3 balls go by. Herold acknowledges my patience and also mentions that Felix has threw 14 pitches in between this batter and the last. I just thought that was a interesting tidbit....

I love how they have the uniform selection... However, I have noticied if a team wears a specific alternate jersey only on the Road, that alternate is paired with Home white pants.

So Im guessing this will cause issues in Franchise with both teams wearing White pants.

Wonder if this can be fixed?

Do you not change the jersey, pants and hat separately anymore?

                          You still can...

But look at the uniform select screen, you'll see what I mean.

Batters box doesn't ware away like in previous versions. A little thing that's been overlooked this year.

I feel left out that full presentations have been sped up somehow even more than it was the last time I played this game but whatever.
