Wow guys, I sure know how to spark a conversation! lol. I've been a gamer all my life, with a brother 6 years older than me, I can't remember a time without games in my life. Imagine everyones surprise when I could play many games, despite only seeing a bit out of my left eye. I can't see enough to drive, read print, had to learn Braille, and yet I can hit the curve and the fastball as good as any!
My best friend, when I first met him, had no clue of my gaming ability. He said after I beat him in 3 different games, "the moment you kicked my butt, I knew we would be best friends forever.
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Im 43 and have been in love with video games ever since i saw an asteroids arcade at the YMCA when I was a little little kid. I started my own video game store because I loved it so much. As corny as it sounds, video games really helped me get thru a bad stint of anxiety and deppresion when i was in my early 20s. My wife knows how important they are too me and even though she doesnt neccesarily understand why she loves me and never ever says anything about it. Even this week shes purposely going to her parents friday for a few days because she knows the Show is my most anticipated game of the year. Im a lucky man.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

MLB 17: When and where
Im probably one of the younger OS members, at least in The Show forums.
I've been playing video games since the PS2 days was my first console. And my first MLB game was in '04.
I'm 21, senior in college. I've been dating my girlfriend for almost 4 years now and she knows all too well about how I feel about The Show.
She doesn't understand how I play one game and do the same thing for hours at a time but isn't dismissive about it. Just let's it be.

53 here. I am a university administrator/professor, best-selling author, and professional speaker. I have a LOT going on but playing video games is my one vice and helps me relax. Getting the Show, especially early, is Christmas in March for me every year.Comment

Walked in to my local Gamestop tonight to purchase College Hoops 2k8 to get my March Madness fix. Guy in front of me says to register 'I'd like to make a payment on my purchase for The Show'. Guy at register pulls his info up on the computer and says, 'its actually out now, would you like to pay it off and I'll grab it for you?' The guy then said 'no, it's not out until the 28th'. The guy then looks at his computer screen and says 'ah, okay, I see where the glitch in the system is'. The guy at the register was completely clueless despite the whole store being practically 'The Show'd' out with release dates.
I was ready to fork over the $60 next in line if that guy could have just kept his mouth quiet!Comment

I once restarted twice in ONE day.
I'm 34, been into baseball games since MVP 05, played Sporting News Baseball on the SNES and RBI Baseball on the NES before that.
That and Madden used to be my thing, lately added FIFA after the US run in the 2014 WC got me into the sport.
Currently it's MLB, FIFA, GTA V, picked up NFS during recent EA sale, and NCAA Football on PS3.Comment
