Re: MLB 17: When and where
I wrote this little short biography years ago just for fun. Maybe some day I can turn it into a published book! Lol, I don't think myself much a writer, but maybe our best selling author on here could take a look and let me know if I have any tallent as a writer! To all my fellow show fans, enjoy! You're about to learn all about your favorite visually impaired guy! https://www.fictionpress.com/s/32660...-But-Not-Blind1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Re: MLB 17: When and where
33 here. I only really buy 2 games a year (The Show and FIFA) so my wife doesn't really have much to say about video games (My record collecting on the other hand...). I actually took a year off from sports games because I had a PS3 and it was kind of frustrating that they weren't as updated as the next gen. But I just got a PS4 and I'm back! Can't wait to make my return to The Show!Comment

Re: MLB 17: When and where
33 years old here. Been playing games since I got a Nintendo for Christmas in 1989. My favorite game as a kid was Bases Loaded. Must have played thousands of games in that game. Fast-forward to the golden era of multiple baseball titles in the late 90s and early 2000s and I would buy pretty much every MLB game made for consoles! Triple Play, MLB series (The Show's great grandfather), All Star Baseball, World Series Baseball and High Heat. I tried to play them all equally, but by 2002ish I was mostly in love with High Heat due to how close it was to real baseball (It's so reeeeal!), while Triple Play/MVP/WSB2K were more arcade style and MLB and ASB were somewhere in between.
I was devastated when High Heat went extinct, but by then MVP baseball had started to become more of a sim and the MLB series was improving every year. Then 2K came along and made sure MVP games would no longer be made just when MVP 05 was amazingly good. MLB 2006 had that damn freezing glitch which made the game unplayable for me, so I was devastated again!
Then MLB turned into MLB The Show and MLB 2K7 was excellent, I was in baseball heaven again. The Show improved year after year while 2K got worse year after year. By 2009 I didn't even bother with 2K anymore and got The Show exclusively.
Now, as soon as the World Series ends in October, I'm looking forward and counting down the days until the next year's game! I still get ridiculously excited for The Show games. And while I always pre-order, I usually end up getting a copy on Friday or Saturday before release and canceling my pre-order. I hope to do the same this year! I'll be calling all my spots tomorrow afternoon.Comment
