Calm before the storm. Gonna check out a game store I have never been to before that is down the street from where I am working today when I'm done. Looks to be mostly retro games but you never know.

Yea, this year seems to be an outlier than in the past. Usually by now, we would have had a ton of people with the game.

If anyone finds the game in VA/DC, PM me - I've never got the game early but this would be a great year for it!

Well no luck at the store I mentioned earlier. Mostly retro.

Anyone ever have any luck getting an early copy by going to like a target or walmart and trying to check out at one of the self-checkout registers? Just curious.

You can't. They are in protective cases that have to be opened at the registers.

Considering the game would most likely be in the back and a rep would have to go get it for you they would probably check you out there. I guess you could say I have more shopping to do and see if they will let you take it to the front where those employees might not know about street dates.

Still highly unlikely that would work. Plus usually when they use their card to over ride a Self Checkout issue it would show who did that. Would hate to cost someone their job for a video game.

I tried the walmart thing twice, once I got it, once I didn't. Rang it up as general, and paid in cash.
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!

Would never want anyone to lose their job over something like that. I have no idea how the concept of pulling off this scenario would work, but i know now its definitely not worth the risk.

I used to work at Walmart.

Even if you say you have more shopping to do, they'll walk it to the front register and it will be there waiting. Usually the one that has the cigarettes and whatnot.

That's what I figured. At my Walmart they typically hold it there and say come back when your ready to check out.

Game still won't ring up at the register.

Wish I had a mom and pop video game store in my area.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Do you guys remember when a Target store put copies of The Show in a 'clearance sale bin' before the release date. It was a few years ago, but someone posted a picture and the clearance price.

Best all time early purchase of The Show.
