Their pitching mechanics are something I would love for the show to have. Just having the different analog movements require the timing and patience to get right. And having them be so much tougher when your pitcher is worn out.

All too true. But honestly, I played a lot of online games of 2K12 and 2K13. And MLB Today was how I played offline most of the time.

I have to say, one of the reasons I made the leap and bought a PS4 for the game this year was that I have been enjoying Ultimate Team modes in Madden and NHL. Baseball is the perfect sport, and DD looked crazy fun.

Well, it would if the servers weren't crap. This has been disappointing. Baseball is a tough game to get right, due to lag. But just dropping games?

Been loving the gameplay and getting up to speed with the game. Hopefully they get the servers right. But it seems like this is something that should have just been expected?

If the narrator for RTTS ever goes silent, it's probably because you turned the Inside the Show audio all the way down.
Yes they are linked because it's the same person talking, Justin Alegri I believe.

This just happened in an Online Event Game.

Had a guy on second base with 1 out. Hit a hard ball over the Second Baseman into the gap, middle infielder comes in and misses the ball and it rolls pass him and he takes off chasing it. So I send the guy on second home......OH WAIT NEVER MIND, the game just showed me something completely different then what is actually happening because all of a sudden the middle infielder is about 20 feet closer to the infield, is holding the ball, and he is launching it towards home plate.....and I am out.

Now I have to take into account what I am seeing actually might not be happening? I have seen this when fielders are catching sure outs but not actual fielding plays.

Seen this last year. What the fielders were doing was completely different from what was shown visually.

I'd see a ball in the outfield but then I'd realize my guybwas actually thrown out when my next batter came up.

Challenge of the Week is great for batting practice. Difficulty rapidly gets harder forcing you to adjust and you're striving for a higher score. Good stuff.

Has anyone else noticed that baserunners from second still do that crap where they slide into third on a double and stop you from scoring? They slide into third automatically, and can't get up and regain their speed to score. This started happening last year.

I hat these umpires so bleeping much. Why is considered a good thing to emulate real life, where people are incompetent? I should lose a Conquest game because I get called out on strikes on a pitch inside, then lose because 4 strikes get called balls in a 6-pitch span, leading to 2 walks. Total garbage.

The Ump may have a different zone. Were the pitches in similar spots all called balls. I have no issue if it's consistient. I have an issue when they call one on the outside corner a ball then call one 2 inches off the plate a strike. If it's called a strike all game, I can deal with that.

There is no better feeling then pitching with a pitcher who is on.

Spring Training through 4 innings before I pulled him, Wacha faced 13 hitters, striking out 10, and allowed no runs or hits. He did walk one.

And btw, the intro still gives me goosebumps

I hit a 452ft homer at Fenway to centerfield. The ball hit the metal structure the camera guys are standing on and it made a big bang on impact.
They put sounds effects all the way out there!

I grew up with the lesson that you never take a third strike that is close enough for the umpire to call it a strike. I knew better than to whine to my dad about the ump if I took a called third strike.

And if you keep throwing to the where the ump calls balls, then it's pretty much on you. I think it is a great system to have. Maybe if we can get MLB to let computers calls balls and strikes we can move past the reality that strike zones are fluid. That's not incompetence, that's reality.

Agreed. Not only that, been watching any real baseball yet? Umps are so freaking awful at times, the show doesn't even try to emulate how bad they can be.
