Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Yes, it does. I just recently got a new Samsung 4k and have never used that before. I'll try it. Thanks.
That seemed to do it.....thanks again. Unfortunately, I can only choose that or HDR....gotta go with game mode though.Last edited by L_Thibs; 03-28-2017, 02:52 AM.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Yea you have to use game mode for Samsung tv's if you hope to hit anything in this game. Found that out hard way in '15, taught me a lot about input delay lol

MLB The Show 17 Q&A
If your new Samsung is the KS8000 it does HDR in game mode you just have to manually change the backlight and contrast settings, it's a issue I found out about on another forum

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Check your PlayStation 4 display settings. It's either something called "Safe Zone" or "Enlarge/Shrink" or something like that. Fill it out all of the way.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

MLB The Show 17 Q&A
I have the same thing just curved...Can you share your tv settings for contrast and brightness? & Do you have Dynamic Contrast HIGH or OFF? Everything looks amazing just the overlays and scorebug looks really dark compared to rest of the game.
Thank you!

Max out both backlight (20) and contrast (100), I have dynamic contrast off. Did you get the HDR banner drop down when game started?

Wow a lot better...my contrast was way too low. Yeah HDR picks up right when game starts. I feel better lol thank you

No problem, it's a pain in you know what because you have to change back and forth to get proper picture for SDR and HDR, other option is play in movie mode where the settings change automatically when HDR content is recognized then changes back when HDR content stops, the lag might be too much though, if you go that route turn off any eco and motion plus crap though

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Funny you mention that....I was curious about whether we can turn on Music Mode for Retro Mode (which basically just plays jukebox songs in place of commentary in the regular game).
Because if we could, I know what song i'm adding to the jukebox via SOTS:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GtmybPD0_Gw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The only thing is, I don't know if the regular pause menu options are available in retro (it has its own pause screen).
And it's a direct callback to the music I posted above. Not the same of course, but you'll hear what they were going for almost instantly if you played that game.
Well played SCEA.Comment
