Can someone please explain to me how Battle Royale works. I've been playing the show for many years now but I've never played this game mode. Decided to give it a try, won my first two games. But it says that those wins are in the queue for processing and I haven't been credited with anything. How long do I have to wait and are there divisions? How many wins must I accrue before going up in divisions? Also, how long do I keep this team until there is a re-draft. Thanks for any info.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
There's a general setting option for warming up the pitcher. My question is if Warm Up is set to off does that mean you don't have to warm up guys in the bullpen at all? And you can just throw them in whenever and they'll be fully warmed up?Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Hey guys, first time posting here, so I hope you can help.
In previous years games, the batter tendencies for your player would randomly generate at the point you created the player. My batter of choice is an "extreme pull" batter. In the new game I noticed after creating 5 different players that every time I would get 33-Left 34-Center 33-Right? Has anyone else noticed this, does your spray chart change over time in RTTS now, or did I just happen to get 5 of the same ones.
Any help would be appreciated guys.

If you have the option highlighted in the menu, it tells you above what it does. I forget what it says there but it's there.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Anyone else having issues in this years version with player energy/fatigue? I'm on game 6 of my franchise and I'm already having to rest multiple players with 4 of the 8 starters at what looks like 25% energy or lower already. Please help!!!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Thanks this is very helpful.
So it seems like for guys who already have a high steal rating I need to just tap it and let the ratings determine it...and for guys who don't have a high steal rating it would probably be better for me to do it manually since I can probably time it right better than that guys lower rating is going to end up in my favor.
I do already try and time my steals to off speed pitches and I try to just follow logical base stealing rules. If I got a fast guy on first with no outs I am never going to try and steal on the first pitch because the cpu just about always pitches out or slide steps on the 1st pitch if you get a guy on 1st with 0 or 1 outs and say 83 or higher speed. The more fast pitches a guy has the less likely I am to steal...if he got a 4 seamer and a 2 seamer and a cutter then I'm probably not going to chance it...i don't try to steal against relievers ever since every team always goes to the bullpen guy who throws 95 and better...something i wish they would fix in this game but whatever.
My issue is that I feel like I time it right but my guy just gets an atrocious jump on the pitch. Yesterday I got thrown out on a 78 low and away change up running with Carlos Gomez...something I don't think would happen in real life. So when I replayed it Carlos did not even start his running motion until the ball was coming across the plate, so the fact that is was an off speed pitch didn't matter since he did not take advantage of the time it takes an off speed pitch to get to the plate.
Have you missed with the base stealing sliders before? If so did they make that big a difference? I don't want to use them and then the next thing you know I'm stealing second with ease with Adrian Beltre
Unfortunately, the game just doesn't replicate base stealing or catcher movements/animations well.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
For me, it's Classic. There's so little ability to call an audible mid-pitch. With Meter pitching, I can decide at the very end of the pitch, if I don't like where things are going to let it hit the dirt. With pulse, I have more control over where the ball's final end-point is. With pure analog control, I can send it farther left or right if I'm not liking my chances as much as I initially thought.
With classic, you pick a button, push X, and hope for the best. It might be a good pitch, or it might not be, but the skill is taken out of the equation, and you've left it up to the CPU, more or less.-the least famous person you've never heard of.Comment

I agree,i also think Classic is the most realistic since the result is ratings based rather then user input.

I forget how many wins you need before going up in divisions, because honestly, I don't like playing online. I wish they had a single player battle royale where you played against computer generated drafted teams.
You keep the team until you win a set amount of games (It's around 20), or until you lose twice (if it is like last year. I haven't tried this year, outside of a single "draft". Was curious to see what roster I could build, but have no intention to play it this time.-the least famous person you've never heard of.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
If you set it to off, however, they will warm up to 100% in the bullpen, and you will not throw any warm-up pitches.
In both cases, you have to put them in the bullpen to warm up at all. If you place a pitcher in, cold, without warming them up, the maximum rating they can garner, will be something like that 25%, and that's only if you have "warm up" as "on". If you set it to off, they will come in at 0% and stay at 0%.-the least famous person you've never heard of.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
I have the game. Why did they remove the interview with the player of the game? Why don't the grounds crew come out during the game? Are the Captains gone? I can't seem to find them but it could be due to the new look. Is there a list of things they removed from 16? Is it just me or does the outstanding intro have low sound? I haven't gotten to play too much(Zelda BOTW is taking up my time) but I did manage to play a game against the CPU on All-Star in DD and I really liked it. I noticed the XP isn't as much after every half inning during the game which is a bummer. I so wish we could import our team uniforms from 16. I am dreading doing it all over again.Comment
