Looking to buy the game. Few Q's: What view do you use for offline head-to-head with friends? Is it pitcher or batter? Or is it locked to one or another?

Can both players "manage" their teams in offline head-to-head mode -- meaning they don't actually play, but tell their teams what to do?

Is anyone else seeing a glitch where the ball goes right through the bat? Happens to me almost every single at bat. I watch the replays in slow motion and the ball goes right through the bat and no contact is made.

Runners on 1st and 3rd. Dude on 1st is speedy and I wanna steal the base. I tap L2+ circle and after pitchers throws, dude on 1st start running and sadly dude on 3rd goes off as well.
Is it a bug or am I stupid?

Hmm. Is this only a classic baserunning problem? Because I swear I've never had this happen, though I use the default analog running controls. If I only want the runner on first to go, he's all that goes if I hold right on left analog + tap L2. This is the first time I've heard someone actually say they were using classic baserunning and had this happen (most don't give that much detail).

I know that doesn't answer your question, I'm just looking from input from others who experience this.

Well. I'm quite bad at analogue base running so I don't know if it works like in there. Might try next time I play to see if it works the same.

Is there any sort of difference when playing in the rain?

Lower solid hits? Lower control for pitchers? More errors?
Anything like that?

I notice that when I press circle and L2 to steal second my batter always attempts a swing that is 99% a strike (whiff).

Is there anyway for me to steal without having my batter not swing at the pitch?

Also, when running the bases, do the runners go faster by pressing and holding their corresponding button (x, circle, triangle, square), or should the buttons be tapped repeatedly?

Why are you pressing circle to steal?

All you need to use to steal 2nd is left stick towards 1st and tap L2.

So the reason your batter is swinging on all attempted steals of 2nd is because you are "telling" him to do so by hitting circle when you don't need to.

Maybe a stupid question but...

I've noticed at times the CPU batter will slide/move closer to or further away from the plate before a pitch -- is there any way I can do this with my batters?

I've never seen that is normal mode. You can do it in retro mode.
I haven't tried retro mode yet so I don't know how but I assume the RS

This is in regular Play Now games against the CPU. I'll try to capture video of it the next time it happens -- if I can figure out how.

RS does nothing -- I've tried.

It's very subtle and you almost have to be looking for it but it does happen.

OCD question: Is there a way to reset your rotation so it lines up right with the probables on the calendar?

I put Teheran on the DL and since my pen was gassed I called up a reliever. That left my rotation with four starters. I sent the reliever down and called up a starter when Teheran's turn came up again, but now the calendar is off by a day. My last game, it had Colon as the scheduled starter even though it was Dickey's turn.
