Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A

Hi, this is my first time posting in here, so if I am doing anything wrong, please let me know. And thanks in advance for any help.

So I started a Franchise Mode with the Yankees, and when setting it up, allowed legends as free agents. I finished season one, and during the offseason, something odd happened.

I saw that some teams were signing free agents in the offseason, but for some reason, I couldn't. Then, once the season began, any leftover/unsigned legends are no longer in the free agent pool.

During my first season, I signed Griffey to a multi-year deal. I signed Seaver to a one year deal, but now he is nowhere to be found.

So, I am lost as to why legends have disappeared in the FA pool.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Did they fix the trade delay in Franchise mode.

EXAMPLE: You can veto CPU trades in the pending transactions screen? This was in 15, but removed from 16 for some reason. CPU trades became instant rather than the 3 day delay.

Is there a link someone can kindly refer me to that shows what the symbols next to the names in the batting order mean? Please and thank you!

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A

One minor issue I've always had with the game is that when I play a less than 162 game season all of the division games are packed into the beginning of the season. Like 100% of them. So in an 82 game season after the first 25 - 30 games everything is out of division.

Admittedly this is a small thing and certainly not a bug but it does take some of the fun out of the pennant race.

I have not bought 2017 yet as I am very happy with 2016 but if this is 'fixed' it would cause me to get it.

Can anybody tell me if this has changed?

BTW, kudos to the devs for a wonderful game throughout the years it always get the most time in my console each year!

As the pitcher, does walking a batter and intentionally walking a batter have the same effect on the pitcher's confidence?

I have a franchise with 4 user teams and one guy decided to quit. Is there any way I can get rid of user control of that team?

Did one of the last 2 patches mess with quick manage? It changes my pitcher when I don't want it to.

Is there a way to turn on Manual Injuries to affect a few players, and then set it to automatic after that? Don't hate on me here, but I want to purposely injure certain players and then set it back to automatic for the rest of the season. Is this allowed?

Yea it's allowed if your using 30 team control just go to the profile that controls the CPU teams go to advanced general setting and turn injuries to manual then go to the teams DL list and RB should bring up all the players in the organization find the player you want to injure and give him the injury you want and the length (10 day, 60 day, or season ending are the common ones) and then after your done injuring the players you'll have to go back to the injury screen and move them to their designated spots as if you injure them and leave it'll keep them on the bench instead of in the DL, after your done just go back into the settings and turn injuries back to auto

                    Hope that answered the question

                      Stupid Question from Geemany:

I ran from the third base to the Home Plate and didn't get a run....

                      Second stupid Question from Germany:

When I am fielding, what is the blue bar, which appears sometimes?

                      Danke! Thank you!

For the first question, it is sometimes possible for a runner to cross home plate but not score a run.

For example, if a runner is at third with 2 outs, and the batter grounds out to the shortstop, the runner from third may cross the plate well before the shortstop throws to first for the out, but since the last out is what's known as a force out, any runs scored don't count.

It's also possible it's a bug but bugs like those happen very rarely.

For the second question the blue bar indicates where your fielder wants to stand if they want to attempt a running catch and throw. You stand on the bar and load up your throw, then the fielder will take over and the running catch and throw animation will activate. This is a good move to use if you need to get the ball to back to the infield as soon as possible.

In online franchise, how does one increase the budget for the team? I'm 45-20 at the moment. No simmed games but my budget seems to stay the same
