I still go back and forth on if I made the right decision. Hosmer has been ripping the cover off the ball all year though, so that provides some solace. I just didn't feel that Smith put me over the top, and I'd rather win now with my rotation the way it is.

I can agree there being a Mets fan myself the window for these pitchers is first 2 to 3 years from 2017 start. I plan in season 2018 to let the youth play. I am only a chunk into season 2017 but as of right now and ofcourse this could change I am going to let Smith, Rosario and Cecchini come up and play every and Let Duda, Cabrera, and Walker leave.

Thanks for the insight on this. Don't you think with inflation that once we get to the back-end of his contract that it won't be nearly as bad as it looks right now though?

I cant see why the Yankees would want to go after Stanton. They could use that money for other needs. They are looking great going forward in the OF, Judge, Frasier, Rutherford, and they have a few other young promising ones. I would throw the money into a starting pitcher or two personally

I'm doing a Reds franchise and my season definelty hasn't started great, though I knew it wouldn't especially with the injuries they have and I'm playing to start with. I'm looking to trade either Zach Cozart, Adam Duvall (he's been hot), Drew Storen, Rasiel Ilgesias and possibly Joey Votto if I can find the right deal. Any suggestions from you guys I'm looking for realistic trades and I like to have better bats then pitching!

No, no, no, no, nooooooo, NO! Seriously though, no way the Bucs would move him, especially with G. Cole almost certain to move on as his arb years wind down.

I hear you on his windup being a little off, but the last patch said they adjusted arm actions for several pitchers -- didn't name Taillon, but worth checking out. If it's still wonky, maybe try another delivery. I haven't really looked for an alternate, but the other night I noticed Tom Milone's windup (not sure about stretch) looked similar to what JT does.

I hear you about not moving him! That wind up was just getting to me, that to go with the 5-11 start, I needed some help. I will have to check it out post patch and hope it is fixed, otherwise I will give Tom Milone's delivery a go and see how feels.

He hasn't fell off that much he almost won the cy young last year. Now his contract makes him sorta Trout like.

I mean that his contract kills his value, he's worth more than just a single ol B spec, but his contract makes you unable to get his worth.

Umm, he may be hard one to trade cause he's got a big contract and it would be a blockbuster trade with him. I'd say probably an A or maybe two B prospects and then someone to take up contracts. This is also why I wish they had more space for bigger trades and the ability for 3 team trades for deals like this.

It really depends on who the player is. For an example Miggy is could do be in a long contract cause he is good but when he starts to go down it'll be bad. Like with Matt Kemp he has a huge contract for a long time and you will be paying him a lot and wont get much back. But if you get a Younger guys with long contracts its good because you'll have them locked up. Also be sure to look for team control on young players to.
