Doing an Orioles franchise. I'm looking for potential destinations for Zach Britton and Adam Jones. Any ideas?

For Jones I was thinking maybe SF and Britton either the Nats or Cubs

Haven't started yet. Trying to bring in some prospects and shed some salary that way I can sign Machado to a realistic extension before I start. Obviously Davis would be the contract to move, problem is its just not very realistic.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

                Response for Holystroke3

You have quite a bit going on here but took the time to give lines/records so I gave you a hour this morning (hence some of my feedback will be a bit vague) and will respond to each one. It'll make it easier for others to poke holes in what you and I have both said and if we can get some consensus on most of these, Mr. Serendipity spreadsheet will double in size. I numbered them in an attempt to streamline and it appears you use MLB.com for prospect ratings so I'll refer to that when I suggest adds.

                1. Robertson shutting the door & owed 13mm next year makes him valuable. We'll need to add something here as CWS didn't trade him in the offseason in an attempt to build value and with that line, everybody is calling.
                2. No. Ross was available and could not build a market. With that line, he still doesn't have a market. BAL would look elsewhere if they needed rotation help.
                3. 13BB in 32IP? Yuck. But, oddly enough, I can see this happening as is.
                4. Anything that gets TOR help in the OF, I support. I also think SRF could/should be used to make that happen. They could do worse but, could they do better?
                5. Not enough. Drop Lake (he has no value) and add 2 C+ prospects. He's cheap with options through '20. Actually, I don't see him moving.
                6. Yeah...I guess? Being inter-division I like the tax but (and this isn't the first time I've seen this) how is Soto hitting so well? I think he may need an in-game random test.
                7. I have no issue/feedback even with it being inter-division. Makes a little more sense with a PTBNL from HOU but we can chat about that later.
                8. Swap Guillmore w/M.Gonzalez (#14). Even then...yeesh! Mesoraco is hard to pin down as he's given us nothing the past 2 years.
                9. Good package and I still don't think it's enough. I really hope the Rays trade him at the break IRL as with the HOU package they said no to in the offseason, it's hard to imagine what they are actually going to get in return. We may need to add here along with a PTBNL.
                10. Sure. Makes sense with the HOU trade earlier and Segedin is ready to play with the big boys. His clock has already started but it's less of an issue given his age.
                11. I don't see it. Tough fit and why would MIL see 1g over .500 and 2nd in the NLC? How many games are they back of the WC?
                12. Meh...what's CIN going to do with Ahmed?
                13. I like J.Miller (#10) + C.Reed (#19) here. Back to back good years on a young rental will have lots of teams calling. If I'm risking him staying in the division with an offseason FA signing (ARZ will make a valid attempt if they are giving up trade currency) then I want a prospect and a lottery ticket.
                14. Wow. Umm, yeah? Realism tells me Richards doesn't move but if he has to, he will command this type of headliner.

When you come back we can talk more about how I prefer to handle PTBNL on deals I'm 'iffy' on. '17 draft picks are always neat to use and can help make up the value add/loss in deals (if you've already done these trades).

^^really appreciate all the feedback, thank you. Going to implement your responses when I get home (and after Joshua-Klitschko). I haven't completed any of these trades. Looking to do a few throughout the month but most at the deadline

Also, KC and Pittsburgh are both right around .500, so by the 31st there could be some big additions to the trade market

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

Just a question, is Mike Trout for Benitendi and a couple other high BOS prospects a fair deal?

What would you have to give to get a guy like a Benitendi? Are there other high end prospects that you could pry with the right teams and players?

Mike Trout may be too good to trade, even if the Angels decided to move him. Not sure LAA could ever get fair value and not sure there's a team out there with the prospects and the willingness to put together a good enough package

It's pretty much become a thread rule that we don't do Trout trades. It's derailed the thread a few times.

Ultimate conclusion has always been that Trout isn't tradable. To hard to assess his real value.

As the Rays, I certainly wouldn't accept that. Dickerson is a key part of the offence and has 3 years left, trading him for a couple of long shot prospects doesn't seem very tempting. Other might see it differently though
