Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I agree. Only way the Rays get Bellinger has to involve Chris Archer

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I'm at the trade deadline currently and my team is six games back in the Division. I have Arenado at 3rd, but I'm wanting to shop him. Got an offer for him from the Nationals for Bryce Harper. They want one of my A prospects (he is a 20 year old pitcher) and another B/A player. Washington is currently in next to last place in their division.
I find this to actually be a close to fair deal. Any opinions?

On the Nationals side they already have Rendon at 3rd who is really good and Murphy at 2nd so there would be no where to put Rendon. It just doesn't make sense for the two teams here

Never said I was the Rockies. I am talking straight up value

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Well if you don't disclose the situation, it's safe to assume Arenado is a Rockie. What team is Arenado on? How did you acquire him? How recently did you acquire him? Who does Bryce's team have in the outfield to replace him? If you're being realistic, a trade isn't completely about value.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
On the Fangraphs trade value list last year Archer was 19 and Urias was 36. But this doesn't mean the Dodgers would trade him for Archer. They also gave projections for the next 5 years.
Urias had a projection of 15.4 WAR with 3 of the seasons being pre-arb which means about $550K per year.
Archer's projection was 15.8 WAR but making more money than we can expect Urias to get over the next 5 years.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
No. I could make a strong argument that Urias alone will be as valuable as Archer over the next 5 years and will likely be as cheap if not cheaper

Is it unrealistic for the Rays to trade Cobb, Odo, and Archer all in one year?Comment

Do the Marlins have enough to get Baez from the Cubs?

Yes, they do. Cubs would want MLB ready guys who can contribute in 2017 but are also cheap enough to allow them to sign Bryant and company.
Dunno if it would happen, but Ian Happ just looks like a Cub to me and could very well be the future at 2B. Baez is one of my favourite players but I think he'd be better off somewhere else (somewhere with a good hitting coach).

I know the cubs need pitching..id like to form a trade around nicolina, and barraclough plus for Baez? Only play I want to keep is yelich...

I'd have to look up those contracts as they are just as important as the talent in this one. Will have a look when I can.
Yellich was the first guy who came to mind. If they lose Baez they'll be playing Happ and Zobrist at 2B and will need an OF. They need a true CF one base guy badly.
