Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I think an AL team that agreed to use him as a DH on occasion could field just as competitive an offer. I even think my Blue Jays could, realistically pay for him and appeal to him as a major world city, especially when you consider the Red Sox might be wary (huge Price contract already on the books) and the Dodgers have no real need. I could see the Cubs, Yankees, Jays being real good fits. San Fran is another one, especially if Cueto opts out. Atlanta could be a darkhorse.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Sorry but you're somewhat wrong on this front as NL teams won't allow Otani to play outfield and most NL teams have 1st base occupied so even if he does go to a NL team he most likely won't be able to hit. If he went to he AL he would be much better suited. Plus Otani can't be signed for more than $6 million due to the fact he is under 25 years oldComment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Does anybody know how to use Otani as a DH in-game? I assume you'd put him as a pinch hitter at the beginning of the game, right?Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I am sure this has been asked but I can not figure out how to search on the app and for some reason the webpage view keeps giving me an error. Here is my question. What type of trade market is there for Carlos Gonzalez at the beginning of spring training? I can not see him getting resign and more importantly I can not hit with him for some reason.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Thats the only spot that would work for Otani. No one really needs a first baseman that would sign him other than PhillyComment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
In my opinion Otani would go to a place where he can win a championship or where other Japanese players have had success. If he went to an NL team I could see Philly as other teams have commitments to players at first. He would be better going to an AL team in my opinion as he could DH and pitch. The best fits for him would be the Red Sox, Mariners, Yankees, and maybe the Angels. Surprise teams could be Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Mets, and maybe the Brewers as these teams are weak at first, need pitching, or need bothComment
