This should just be an offline game. Until they start investing money into better servers it's not fair to market the online portion as a selling feature only for it to operate like this. Especially when the online portion generates more income.

I agree.

It reminds me back on the PS3 and how people would criticize COD for using host migration versus dedicated servers. That was well over 7 years ago though...the cost for dedicated servers, even TB+ worth of data, surely is much more reasonable.

Amusingly enough, the game has gotten worse online for me through the years. The last 4 years or so Ive played progressively less each year because the game works worse and worse for me each year. This year seems to be better but Ive only tried a handful of times because half the games freeze and dont count.

I have stayed away from any kind of H2H online until this gets sorted out. I have almost exclusively been playing Conquest and Play vs. CPU trying to complete missions. Interesting enough, I haven't had a game go to queue in a few days.

Yeah I finished an online ranked game last night and it still hasn't popped up in my game history yet

I'm hoping all the games that got queued and havent recorded just suddently update, but that thinking is just as wishful as SCEA improving Franchise mode for next season.

Yeah I'm thinking that those games are gone for good, I've had some that have been queued for 2 or 3 days now

Our top priority every year with the MLB The Show franchise is to create the most authentic baseball game on the market. We push ourselves to include as many additions and improvements as possible, with the end goal of giving users an enjoyable experience across all game modes. We’re proud of so much that made it in this year, but we haven’t been satisfied with certain areas in The Show 17.

Since launch, we have identified and addressed a number of issues related to online gameplay – from freezes and hangs, to longer than normal wait times for the game processing queue. We’re still all hands on deck working to remedy outstanding issues.

There’s been some confusion about queue processing in general, and we’d like to provide insight into the changes we’ve made since launch to how the system works. When a game completes properly (i.e. both users finish to the end), scores should post quickly with no queue message. The back end has been refined to ensure the win/loss is updated immediately, but the rest of the stats from the game might take more time to process. When a game ends prematurely, due to a user disconnect or other abnormal action, the system is designed to take extra time to process, allowing the game to post correctly. In regards to the Online Franchise, changes are in place to help shorten the amount of time required to process leagues.

We have been and continue to work hard to resolve the remaining issues; a new patch is currently underway and we are committed to updating you as soon as we have new information to report. We appreciate all of the valuable feedback and reports the community has sent our way. Understandably, this can be a frustrating time for many of you, and in acknowledgement of that frustration we are planning to give in-game content to all of you. More info on that to come soon.

Here we go again. It is Thursday evening before a long weekend and the server issues have killed my desire to play more.

Just played a really long Vs CPU game where my team was firing on all cylinders.

• Chris Tillman 10 more strikeouts for his mission.
• Three hits for impact veteran Dante Bichette for his mission.
• Willie McCovey hit three homeruns in the game to completely finish his part of the Padres Team Epic.
• The win would have counted towards the Reds Mystery Mission.

Just nothing but great things from the game

Exit the game and before I even get to the EXP screen......

"Lost connection to the server" - Kiss your hard work goodbye.

It's like they have a timeout on the server and if you play for more than an hour without passing any info back and forth to the server then they just time you out. (Ah I see it basically went down for everyone)

Never has a game I loved so much worked so hard to get me to stop playing it in favor of more stable games where I don't feel like I am wasting my time.

well this blows, just won a come from behind win in my franchise only to get "you have lost connection to the servers" popup and now the game is stuck until i close it
