I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Drop ball in front of catcher = Auto base advance for CPU?
Don't know about runners advancing, but there have been too many wild pitches for years. However, increasing the catcher blocking attribute to 90 or above alleviates that problem. Been my workaround for years. Can't say I've noticed the whole runners advancing thing because I've barely touched the game thus far, but it might work for that too.Comment

Re: Drop ball in front of catcher = Auto base advance for CPU?
I was going to post a new thread but found this. Hell yes it happens way too often. I've had runners with 10 speed advance easily while balls only few inches in front of the catcher. I don't think I've ever seen any out catching them attempting to take advantage.
I find it happens more in the last few innings or when the game is close to decisions.

Re: Drop ball in front of catcher = Auto base advance for CPU?
My issues are runners advance too quickly, it seems that a runners Baserunning Ability has no change on their jump. Another is the lack of urgency from pitchers covering home plate, my catcher will hustle to get the ball only to have no one to throw it to. My final complaint is the lollipop throws when my catcher does block a ball and get to it quickly. I've had several plays where I would have a runner thrown out by 10 feet only to have my catcher lob it to 3rd for the runner to be safe.

I've been wondering about this as well. At first I thought maybe the CPU was just too aggressive on the bases, but it does seem to be a combination of things. Hopefully it can be patched.Last edited by jeffy777; 04-17-2017, 03:36 AM.Comment

Has anybody seen a ball in the dirt that is picked cleanly by the catcher?

Re: Drop ball in front of catcher = Auto base advance for CPU?
The frustrating part is that we have gotten to the point where games are so detail-oriented that we have complaints about the wrong stitch pattern on socks, or beard hair that doesn't move on a windy day... but catchers cannot make a clean pickup on a pitch bounced in the dirt, and runners advance at will.
I know which of these examples I would find to be the most important, but to each their own.
