You almost wonder if everyone has actually downloaded and installed the patch on their systems. It seems unlikely that everything in the patch notes has not been fixed, no? If that is the case, then it's a big whoops on Sony's part.

The easiest way to verify it inside of the game (meaning, not the PS4 update history from the dashboard which is probably the easiest way overall) is to run a CPU vs CPU game and see if the MPH displays. If it does, your game is updated. If not, you're still on 1.03 .

I'm shocked at what a mess this years version is. I've never been let down by SCEA before, but this years game is like a train wreck. I was so confident that this would all be fixed, but feels as though the product has gotten worse post patch. The QA has been on a downward trend for the last couple of years. Very concerning. Not sure what is going on, but the dev team has been top notch for years, but now the game is shipped every year with a significant reoccurring glitches and server issues. This is slowly becoming a wait and see future buy. Definitely going in a bad direction as far as I'm concerned

I was not having a lot of the problems that have plagued others with this game. As a matter of fact i was enjoying this years title more than any of the others before. Granted I don't play online or sim anything so maybe that is the reason. I was just wondering what exactly did this patch fix?

All the glitches and things that I did see are all still there. The game is now playing a little different for me now and it's not a good thing. The ball hitting the bat sounds terrible now and I just can't feel the difference between when I barrel one up or foul one off like I did pre patch. It all sounds and feels the same now. I really hope this gets fixed ASAP as up until now I wasn't complaining...

Has anyone started a new franchise after the patch and tested the SP problem? I started a Cardinals franchise, and the Cubs kept Arrieta in deep into the game, I think the 8th inning. He had almost 100 pitches, I think I got 6 or 7 hits off him but didn't score. Had a couple of hits late in the game, one being a leadoff double and he still wasn't pulled. This was on default sliders, All-Star level with QC on. Maybe you do need to start a new franchise? Or maybe it just happened that one game, not sure yet as I haven't played another game.

I was thinking the same thing..I wonder about the graphical issues with the ticker as well if this would correct that.

Post patch I'm still not seeing any issues with starting pitchers getting pulled early. I do not play quick counts and I use my own Legend sliders and I'm having no issues with starters being pulled.

However an issue that I am still having post patch is that stealing bases is still automatic by simply tapping the L2 button non-stop until the pitcher pitches. If you tap L2 non-stop until the pitcher pitches, the runner gets an enormous jump and can steal at almost a 99% clip. It doesn't matter how fast or slow the runner is or what you have the base running success slider set to, they always get an enormous jump. I don't want to have to set a house rule that I can't steal ever.

What's my alternative? If I press L2 once, I'm out by 10 feet every attempt because the jump from first base is atrocious. And if I manually try to steal by holding L2 and releasing when I want to run, the jumps are equally as bad and I'm out by 10 feet. So what do you propose?

Perhaps instead of opening your trap in an attempt to be clever, you could provide an alternative way to fix the issue? Or is that too difficult?

Provocative tone aside, this is not my experience at all. And as such I cannot suggest an alternative.

Haven't tried to do much stealing post-patch yet, but pre-patch I could steal with a high success rate with high rated runners with the L2 tap. If I tried it with slower runners I was dead meat unless the pitch was in the dirt.

L2 tap is the only way I try to steal bases when playing vs. the CPU. Holding/releasing L2 takes steal ratings out of the equation.

I personally cannot tell you how deeply disappointed I am with this patch. To me the most requested fix for QC was the starting pitcher issue. And it seems it was completely ignored. I have waited, tested, and cannot play any type of realistic franchise as it is. I am totally frustrated that they didn't even make an effort to fix this.

For those that have time to play a full game, Glad it's somewhat working for you. I neither have the time no the desire to play every game. And even if you do. Unless you play every single game, If you sim all the other CPU games you will run into the same problems as playing QC because if you check box score and stats at the end of the season, you will find relievers have far more innings pitched than starters.

IMO there is absolutely no excuse for this. This did not happen in 14, 15, 16 and there is no excuse for it to be happening now. And I find it hard that the Dev's chose to ignore this in this patch.

As great as this game could possibly be, and may be for others, for pure QC players or total sim players, this game is broken. The CPU logic is completely screwed up. And if you love baseball and stats, it is a killer to see a starting pitcher being pulled in the 5th inning in a close game with a 68 pitch count. Once in a while but checking box scores, playing games and seeing it game after game completely ridiculous. For those of you that don't mind it. Enjoy the game. For myself, I am done with it. It's back to 16. It is not worth the frustration and no sliders or adjustments seem to fix it. I really loved some of the new features but I will give that up to get some realistic pitching logic.

When and if the Dev's decide to fix this, I will try again, but I am quickly losing faith as I really believed the latest patch would address it. Now I have my doubts if it will be addressed at all.

lol the problem in my sig is still there. it's been in there since 2015's game and they just flat out don't want to fix it.

I have not updated yet but I was hoping the problem you posted in your sig was fixed. I thought it would be when one of the notes mentioned it for RTTS. I know they say RTTS is the same as player lock mode put into the other game modes but some things mainly mile stone and high lights are just different. It has been this way since MLB 15 unfortunately.
