Quick observations after a couple of post-patch games:
Bat to ball sounds need to be reverted to default if possible. It's a super noticeable difference that detracts from the overall experience.
AI use of the bunt with players who cannot bunt. Ive seen the "laser bunts" but from what I've seen it's more about who is bunting on most of the laser bunts. In a way I think it's working as intended to prevent bunt cheese. The problem is when the AI uses guys who can't bunt to bunt and it leads to double plays and easy outs. Maybe put in a limiter where all pitchers and only position players with a 40+ bunt rating will attempt them?
Starting pitching is still getting pulled too early and it's obvious that the code in the game says that in a tie game if a runner reaches second, pull the starter. Maybe take the pitcher's stamina and other ratings into account with the SP hook so it's not one size fits all?
Relief pitchers still pitch far too long. Very few teams will let a pitcher go 2+ innings in the real game but it happens frequently in The Show.
Catchers dropping balls in the dirt or pitches that the catcher traps in the dirt. Patch notes says that this was improved but it still needs major work. It's common for runners to take extra bases on pitches in the dirt even on the best catchers in the game. This eliminates the cat and mouse pitching strategy if you know that every pitch you throw in the dirt, regardless of how good your catcher is, will likely advance a runner. It's a real killer for trying to pitch realistically.
Since we've seen art assets can be patched as evidenced by the stadium touch-ups in 1.04, can we please get matte helmet options in for those teams that use them? Any chance of getting the blue St. Louis cap?
Really enjoying the game by and large but these improvements would go a long way to reaching the potential this game has.
