I was playing against the Dodgers in a Franchise game pre-patch 1.04...I was down 5-2 in the 9th. LA brings in Kenley Jansen. Jansen promptly serves up a bomb to Kyle Schwarber to make it 5-3. Dodgers then switch pitchers again, and end up winning by that score after my next hitters went down in order.



I also remember this being an issue in previous The Show games, where closers would come in and then be pulled if they give up any runs or get into trouble. So, to me, this isn't a new problem. It would be nice if it were addressed, however...

Check your hook slider as well here... i have found if its lower than default they wont hesitate to pull the closer

I played a few games last night and I actually like the changes to the power of hits. I don't feel afraid to throw fastballs anymore, as now it I locate them well I can get weak grounders/fly outs.

The bat noise is horrible. Not sure how anyone doesn't notice it. It sounds like your bat breaks every time.

This has its own thread going but it's worth mentioning in here. Starting to see runners not leave the box on base hits from time to time. Ball that should be a double to the gap and they just stand there and you get to throw them out at first. Never saw this before the patch so I'm assuming it's something the patch broke.

Yup. Played a franchise game. Post patch and they pulled Kimball after one single and two outs in the 9th up 5-4. Franchise is unplayable

Instead of mindlessly complaining - let's try doing something constructive.

Capture the video of it. Post it here. That way we can possibly see the issue or even the devs can troubleshoot using actual data and not just "Games unplayable, wah".

There is so much good conversation in this thread that the few bad apples really give the black eye to entire OS community.

Whatever, the inmates can have the asylum. You all have fun with your agendas. Yes I do believe it is time to move on.

And everyone knows how big of a supporter of this game I am. I have no agendas at all.....never had never will.

It is simply an audio bug and thankfully they know about it and will repair it ASAP.

Glad they listen and respond. They are the best development team in sports gaming folks. They will get it right again.

Another thing I've noticed and it may just be me but check swings seem to be a bit off. Like I'm barley touching the button and there taking a full hack at the ball, I don't remember that happening before

Unplayable??? If you think that this game is unplayable then you need to fire up an older system and see what we used to play with. This game is fantastic, yes a few bugs and things that I am sure are being worked on as some have already been acknowledged but "unplayable" is not even close to reality.

Thanks for the heads up! I did adjust it to help combat the SP getting pulled early issue. Might have to do some more tweaking...

I have the hook slider all the way at zero and the starter stamina at max, so it's definitely not the sliders. As people have been pointing out, it seems to really be an issue on QC. I only play with QC.

It might sound extreme, but I think we'd see more constructive progress if OS required video footage for every complaint made. 3 day ban for anyone who ignores the rule. The flip side is complainers would be free to say what they want, as long as it doesn't violate the terms of service.

Bottom line is that most of the game's issues can be easily documented with photos or video evidence, but what I'm reading is a whole bunch of ambiguity and vague evidence used to support bold claims.

I would LOVE to do this, but you're correct in that it is a bit extreme.

Believe me when I say this - the data that SDS gets is accompanied by footage. If you complain without it you are much less likely to be heard.

I had Verlander go 7ip on 105 pitches and give up 1 run on QC last night. Pretty realistic to me. I have a feeling its a combination of situational elements that cause the issue. In my game Verlander cruised and didnt run into many issues. I think its more about situations than pitch counts. Remember baseball has gone to a bullpen game, it may be trying to replicate that but just needs tweaking. I have still seen complete games in QC.

Interesting. And what difficulty level do you play on? I am somewhat convinced that that is playing a big part in it. Problem is I can't recall offhand whether I play on All Star or Hall of Fame and I'm at work now.
