Re: Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
Well you can't get a full view of whats beyond what you see from that shot of left field. They could of definitely added more. SunTrust Park itself looks drastically improved. Also, when they released the reveal video of SunTrust last year it wasnt even the final version of the park. Anyway, a few missing buildings shouldn't make you not want to play with the Braves.Comment

Re: Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
Just saw a stream where they used SunTrust Park and the stadium itself looks massively improved. Even more added since the last video by SDS. It appears that they still haven't done anything with the skyline beyond the stadium.Comment

Re: Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
Why are there still no cameramen in the camera wells, or employees manning the concession stands....glaring that they are left out, and there are just television cameras with knowone operating them....strange this is left out every yearComment

Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
I was holding onto a lot of these photos under the assumption that there would be official stadium and video board feedback threads this year, as there were last year. However, that clearly wasn't the case. Anyways, i'll provide my feedback for AT&T Park and the Oakland Coliseum here, with the hope that someone from SDS might be able to get them addressed for MLB 19 (I doubt anything from this post would make it into '18 considering the point in the development cycle).
AT&T Park
1. The Giants changed the middle portion of their video board layout.

2017 Layout:

2. The bench in the Giants bullpen should be removed.
3. The Giants added LED lighting to AT&T Park prior to the 2017 season.
Oakland Coliseum
1.The addition of a player's WAR and BABIP in the lower left hand corner of the video board.
Spoiler
2. The addition of the Rickey Henderson Field logo behind home plate and on the outfield walls (replacing the 2012-2013 division championship logos from MLB 17).
3. A number of ads were installed on the facing of "Mount Davis" in center field prior to the 2016 season (example one, two).
4. A large Cache Creek Casino Resort ad near the left field video board (zoom in a bit to see).
5. In real life, the Coliseum light towers are much, for lack of a better term, thinner, than they are in game.
6. The Bill King memorial logo above the broadcast booths.
7. Bill King plaque added to facing of the Plaza Level (first base side).
8. "Holy Toledo!" sign in right-center field. It lights up gold (as pictured) for home runs and wins, and displays a flag pattern during the singing of the anthem.
9. The removal of upper deck tarps in the main bowl. The tarps on Mt. Davis remain, though.
Holy Toledo sign made it in but it doesn't light up when hitting a HR (Olson just crushed one off Bumgarner)
*EDIT* It actually does light up!

Re: Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
Nice to see that the sign and the Rickey Henderson field logos made it in. I can live with other, smaller points I made not making it into '18. The only major gripe I have for the digital Coliseum is the upper deck still being covered by tarps.MLB: San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics (Sell The Damn Team, Fisher!)
NFL: San Francisco 49ers
NHL: San Jose Sharks
MLS: San Jose Earthquakes
EPL: Brentford FC

Re: Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
The LED boards are probably just something that needs to be patched. A bit disappointing if I’m right but in my opinion the stadium lights not flashing during HR’s is likely not a mistake. It’s probably just something that didn’t make it into the game. I think that’s something we will be waiting till next year for.Comment

Re: Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
I know this is more of a stadium design post, but hopefully it’s within the context of this thread enough the be okay.
Kauffman Stadium still needs some love. Some of these images are from MLB 16, but that's because I made a similar list last year, so I'm just using the same pictures for things that still need updated.
In no particular order, here are some things that I would love to see updated:
1. Right Field Porch Sign - For years this was a Budweiser script sign, and just last year it changed to Blue Moon. Even if the text says ‘The Show’ with a baseball between the words, or ‘Kauffman’, etc., that would be better than the big rectangular The Show sign that was in 17.
Spoiler
2. Outfield LF & RF Wall LED Signage - At Kauffman, the LED boards extend further than what is currently in The Show. In The Show, there is a fixed graphic at the end towards the bullpen(s), but in reality, the LED board extends all the way to the bullpen edge. Only the last graphic, towards center field, is non-LED.
Spoiler
3. Grass Pattern - I love when the Royals mow the crown in to the outfield grass. But truthfully, it’s very, very rare and seeing it for every game in The Show makes it less special. I would prefer The Show had the much more common checker pattern for the field, and thick parallel lines in foul territory as the Opening Day 2017 picture shows.
Spoiler
4. Hall of Fame Glass Graphic - Every year, the Royals have some kind of Royals branding graphic applied to the HoF glass in left field. Also, for the past few years, they have the green Commerce Bank splash advertisement on the right side. Something that mimics this with Royals branding would be much better than the blank gray glass that The Show has had for years.

5. Upper Deck Advertisements - In The Show, these upper deck vomitories are solid concrete. However, in real life, the two big ones on the sides of the upper deck should have large (mostly blue) sponsor graphics on them. Also, at the top of the press box area are two long 'roof tops'. The Show has these as a plain color, but these should also be sponsored mostly blue.
Spoiler
6. Kauffman Stadium Broadcast Pitching Cam - It seems like the angle of the camera is just a bit off. The zoom is about right, but I think the camera needs to swing around to show a little bit more to the right. I think the focal length of the camera needs changed a little too, because you can see that the dirt circle around home plate runs off the left and right edges in the real broadcast. It's easiest to compare when you look at the advertisement panels on the backstop. It doesn't take away from the game, but as someone that watches most Royals games, and also plays loads of The Show each year, it's enough that I notice it and it takes away just enough from the realism.

Re: Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
The team showed off how they added bleacher seats to stadiums but they didnt put them in at Guaranteed Rate Field, they should have bleachers in the left field stands. They also didnt add Buehrles retired number behind home plate, and for years the whitesox have had statues out on the concourse for their retired greats and those have never mad it in the game. I feel like the white sox get the least amout of attention when it comes to stadium details in the game. Also their foul poles are like 8,000 feet tall it looks kinda weird.Comment

Re: Player Personality & Stadium Atmosphere Help
Heads Up: Stadium Atmosphere
Miller Park post game announcements all correct except announcer should state.."Take I-94 or Miller Parkway Northbound exit onto Wisconsin Avenue not I-90.... to Wisconsin Ave".
A Wacky Tradition: Stadium Atmosphere
All ball parks could use there traditions and tie into the game somehow. Miller Park can use the Sausage Race during the 7th inning. Have the User(s) pick and earn stubs or a card if they pick correctly.
