For now I just have CPU Power + 1 since it seems I give up a fair amount of hits on HOF pitching, but the CPU struggles with knocking it out if the park. I might try it out though as it would make it much more challenging and fun as TWW said.

I use allstar pitching. I turned CPU contact and timing all the way up. I get some really realistic results that way so I stick with it. I'm going to try bumping the solid hits up for myself tonight. I've yet to try that, I just keep messing with contact and timing, and getting more and more frustrated. Hopefully I'll have the luck with solid hits that you're having.

1 hr, 2 shots that i thought for sure would go out that didnt

Yeah, Solid Hits is definitely the slider you want to increase. Bumping up Contact will increase the amount of the balls you put in play, but not the quality of your hits. Increasing Solid Hits basically diminishes the frustration of hitting...those instances when you square a pitch perfectly right down the middle and it ends up a lazy fly or weak grounder. Now you still might line it right at someone, but at least you're driving the ball like you feel like you should when you the CPU hangs one or leaves a meat ball right down main street and you time it just right.

All these complaints about hitting and I'm just not seeing it. I use 30 team control and am playing as the Rox and the White Sox. One is a team with a chance this year and could go varying directions in the future and the other is a rebuild of a team I've followed since the 90's.


Anyways, I wonder if people aren't just seeing the fluctuating nature of baseball. With the White Sox, I have not reached late July yet so I still have the full opening day roster. I just hit less than .100 with them over the past four games, only got a HR from Saladino OBP of .235 or so. Major team slump against some tough pitching in that stretch. The Rox, however, got a .500 OBP that same time period, scored 30 runs, had multi-HR games from Arenado and Cargo, etc.

What did they do with the last patch? I was struggling before the patch and now I'm hitting like crazy.
