I wouldn't jump to conclusions. It's great to speculate, but maybe it's something about a slicker field/ball or varied weather during the game (like it can rain in the first couple of innings and then the sun can peek out later). Or maybe games can just be outright postponed. There are plenty of different things to consider.

There's a clip of the umps talking to a manager and then cutting to a screen notifying you of the delay's length and asking whether you want to change pitchers.

Delays are in.

Full postponements and rescheduling...that's still up in the air (and I wouldn't bet on it). I'm sure we'll get a definitive answer on those Thursday.

This is just like last year when I suggested for someone not to jump the gun about stating Reynolds was one of the broadcasters, only to find out I haven't seen the new updated media.

I’m a little curious as to by it was raining at Minute Made Park. Why would they choose to have it raining there when the roof should be closed during the rain.

Pretty sure they did it just to show it off. It won't actually rain in Minute Maid park. It's obvious the roof is open just to show off now the delay works.

We have rain delays in Toronto. Sometimes a game will be delayed 15-20 minutes or so while they close the retractable roof. Maybe the same has happened at Minute Maid Park before.

Why don't the Jays start closing the roof before the rain gets there? Rain is generally predictable.

Usually they do, but I guess sometimes they're caught off guard and the rain shows up earlier than expected.
