I'm all for being optimistic, but expecting SDS to communicate openly, promptly and helpfully? Come on now, be realistic

Years back there was open communication and it was a healthy relationship. Now there is very little interaction and the atmosphere has been ruined.

I gave a straight-faced response because it's always nothing but doom and gloom on here when it comes to this game. Everyone always has to assume the worst.

But I'm wrong because I have a different view than others according to some.

Part of that is actually incorrect. Geoff Harrower (GameplayDevUFC) over on the EA UFC subforum is the most active dev poster I have ever seen on here.

And has about the thickest skin I've ever seen.

My comment was firmly tongue in cheek, but they have become very poor at communicating when anything goes even slightly awry of late.

Funny thing is, everything probably fine and they could instantly end all this with a message that would take 2 seconds to put out there, but for some reason they just don't do it

To be fair my post was clearly a joke.. gloom and doom- I love my life and if this game didn’t have franchise it would suck but it wouldn’t be end of the world- with that said I feel like it’s fair for us to feel disappointed at no blog or announcements or improvements. I love the show and will most likely buy it but I would like to know my favorite mode is important to the people who actually work on it.

No issue with the joke. I agree. It would suck to not have Franchise but we will. I'm also disappointed not to see a blog yet, but at the same time, I know it doesn't mean there will be no new information. Too many people here assume the worst. To some, no blog yet means Franchise wasn't touched and the developers don't care. There is no patience anymore.

I mean, Facebook, Twitch, and Twitter are far more toxic, and they do so on there, however, they are all marketing platforms, and OS is no longer the viable machine it once was in the PS3 era, Community Events, etc..

They can just have the streamers do it all for them.

I think the reason franchise modes had more meat back on older gen consoles was because card collecting and other multiplayer aspects were not present so all focus was on franchise.

Not sure we will ever get back to those days so expectations should always be on the lower end on new features imo.

I agree with you, but they also put out their own schedule saying today would be a blog. At least tweet out saying its been delayed or that it will be released later today or something. Just seems like common sense to me but maybe I am wrong.

This forum is nuts haha. Every time I check in over here when something is late or a little disappointing that applies to the Show, there is a group of people ready to bash Sony San Diego.

It's a blog for crying out loud. They have been doing weekly 90-minute streams for years now, and will be doing another in 2 days.

They implement or fix most of what the community has issues with the previous year within their power by actually listening to the people playing their game.

I just don't understand the people that say SDS are above the public and could care less about communicating.

Hearing someone bash Ramone because he's online and still hasn't posted the blog is laughable to me. C'mon fellas, that's a little much, no? Who knows what the guy is doing and furthermore it's probably not his call when it gets posted. Let's just be a little patient, as I'm excited to see what they've done with Franchise as well, and worst case we'll see on Thursday.
