So this clearly looks like they worked on the colors but then we'll hear that nothing changed and that lighting is better and that they're still just following the style guide which would imply the style guide suddenly got all their colors brightened up... I wish they'd just flat out say "ok the red was too dark and we finally got a chance to work on them." The beating around the bush seems to make things more frustrating than ever. With that said I'm just happy these look better. I feel like it'll actually change the game for me this year as weird as that sounds. Immersion is a big factor for me.

I'm pretty sure they have said that they fixed the reds.

Yes but I remember one specific recent occasion where I, on here, was told nothing was fixed or changed even though everyone's eyes saw improvement.

Pause the video on the uniforms and look closely. The baselayers are vibrant, like the undershirts and accessories, but the uniforms don’t all look improved.

The Cardinals look bad. The Cubs red in the logo is drab, especially compared to the bright red wrist band in the end closeup. The Red Sox undershirts look great, but tough to tell about the red in the actual uniform. The Nationals did look improved, at least the hat. The Giants and Dodgers both looked dull. And the Dodgers front numbers are still wrong thickness and location.

So, it’s very hard to tell from a sizzle trailer what is actually touched on. There’s no need to exclaim that anything is fixed, or still broken until they show us visual proof or we have the game ourselves. And even last year when they showed us proof it still wasn’t that way when we got the game.

And if you want to be a conspiracy theorist, you could point out how they made sure to show none of the teams in the colored alternate jerseys.

The hats and undershirts weren’t nearly as bad as the jerseys were. This was especially evident on teams like the Pirates when they had the black alternate jerseys on. The undershirt was a true black while the jersey was almost charcoal.

Im liking the way everything is looking... But wasnt it last year during a stream the Pirates black alternate looked great, but then the game shipped and it was washed out?

You actually might be right about actual jerseys not being fixed, but helmet/hats/socks/undershirts are WAAY more important and noticeable. I’m happy with the fix. And it’s super apparent these were fixed because of how red bosox look at night. Night game lighting can vary only so much from tv to tv.

Yep. I remember posting comparison pics. It looked washed out then looked fixed then upon release looked washed out again. Still stumped on that one.

But isn't the material of the red on the logo a different material and thus light reflects off of it differently and thus it can seem darker than the armband red? I'm as skeptical as anyone about the colors but I think this one has an explanation.
