Since they are advertising this with a trailer I'm going to guess this and Phases which looks like it's just simming to a certain point of the season which we could already do are the main things added in franchise mode.

Is it just me or did the Red Sox red alternate look a lot brighter in this trailer, then in the stream yesterday?

Better shade of red due to the lighting, but not much brighter.

Mizuno fielding mitts confirmed. There’s a few frames where Simmons is diving for the ball where you can make out the Run Bird logo on the glove.

Not crazy about the trend towards less actually playing baseball that they seem to be endorsing again. (although I'd be surprised if this is really a new addition rather than just a repackaging of the already available 3 inning exhibition games)

I'd wager now when you select exhibition game a big flashy option offering you a 3 inning game pops up and that's about the extent of it.

I can't play a 3 inning game. If I "lost" I'd feel like I have 6 innings left to try and win. As weird as it sounds I'd rather play 9 innings in some super fast way then just 3 innings because it's still 9 innings, 27 outs, at least 3 plate appearances per hitter, etc.

And haven't we always been able to select the innings? I'm guessing some kind of logic changes this time so that the AI "understands" the 3rd inning is the last inning?

Also noticed that the Jays catcher had a batting glove on under his mitt. A small but very welcome addition. Hopefully maybe on the bases as well finally?

I thought you could always wear gloves under fielding gloves?
