However, the reality is there is a large population of people who purchase this game to collect virtual baseball cards, to play 15 min online against their friends, to be "collectors" of various items, to play 'stock market simulator', and to open packs. I don't really understand the draw of it, but it's the same principle that made MyTeam so big in NBA 2K. Lots of people are playing the games only to earn the virtual currency to build out their ultimate team and to brag about their teams to those they interact with.

Then, there's another large group of people who treat this title as more of a role-playing game and play RTTS. It seems like plenty of people are just trying to make the strongest character they can and playing the games themselves (short as they are in RTTS) is a sort of "grinding" they do to further this cause.

I'm not saying any of it is right or wrong, but it is good to be aware of all of these demographics and how they affect what SDS is trying to accomplish year-in year-out with the game. Lots of people who purchase the game are looking for very different aspects than others are.
I'm a RTTS player and never had the slightest interest in any of the other stuff but I never would complain about them because as you point out we all have different interests and it must be hard to balance them.

I’ll be honest. At this point I’m 100% a DD player. I always thought it was dumb in Madden and still do, but the way it’s implemented in The Show is just really fun and addicting. I love trying chase down that next reward. It’s addicting in the same way Loot games like Diablo and Monster Hunter are. I have zero interest in RttS and while I used to be an avid Franchise player I would always burn out on it after a month or two. I’m not someone who can let games sim and the seasons are just too long for me to get through and enjoy the off-season stuff. Diamond Dynasty has kept my interest up in the game all the way into fall since I started playing it.

I do that with nine inning games. I do it all the time. I use the in game save feature, playing an inning or two when I have the time.

Why do I need three inning games again? Rhetorical question.

Hopefully they re added the true time option. Loved having the option to play the game in real time.

Manfred asked the devs to implement it as a test for potential pace of play rules to see how it works for the gaming community.

                1. White lines between windows in the center field restaurant are a lot more subtle (barely noticeable).

                2. Railings that surrounding the moat (rich seats behind home plate extending being dugouts are aluminum colored like the rest of railings around stadium (not black).

                3. Elevated train (beyond right field) does not stop. It continues since the station is south of the stadium.

                4. Flashing stadium lights (night game home run celebration)
